Been coming to Merimbula since I was very young.

Been coming to Merimbula since I was very young. Was great to finally bring my young family! Absolutely love the food and beaches but mostly the people! Everyone is lovely and smiling. Great place to bring younger kiddos too for the safe beach/bay. Can’t wait to come back!

We stayed Mid February, just after the School Holidays ended, so the crowds would have been reduced. Still, there was a great "vibe" to the town, beaches, and surrounds. Merimbula was a great starting point to travel up & down the coast visiting other locales, such as Eden, Tathra, and the numerous beaches/parks/lakes along the Sapphire Coast.

Merimbula was suprisingly busy for a country town and traffic was at a standstill in the main downtown area at times. I don't know if this was normal for this time of the year (February). We did a number of day trips to surrounding areas such as Eden, Boydtown, Candelo and Tathra. We had hoped to visit Kameruka but it was closed to the public. Local seafood was good and the oysters, in particular, were delicious.

The room was very clean and comfy.

The room was very clean and comfy. Parking was smooth and easy, right in front of the room. I especially enjoyed the large bathroom and the back veranda. The aircon was also good. Wifi didn't work so well. Merimbula is a great place for staying and relaxing. The beach boardwalk is beautiful. Nice shopping, restaurants, and cafes. We had a lovely breakfast at MorMors Cafe. The "Top Fun" amusement centre was also a great experience.

A place/ region we'd like to see more of. Coming from Victoria, it was not as busy as what we thought. I enjoyed doing a lot of walks especially the boardwalk trail. Easy to find your way around town. The Oysters are really fresh. try their oyster factories. don't fall for the $8 per dozen advert though. apparently they are real small oysters. ((probably shouldn't even be harvested). the $20/dozen are a good size. Try the Wheelers ( Pambula) restaurant. decent food.

As we couldn’t control the weather, it was raining for the duration of our stay but there was a day or two with the sun peeping and overcast weather. Merimbula was a great place to get away from the busy Sydney life. We found Merimbula a place to relax, slow down and meet friendly locals. We tried a variety of great places to eat during our stay such as The Cranky Cafe across the bridge, the Wheelers Restaurant in Pambula, Dulcie’s Cottage was great for their burgers and drinks, Bar Beach Cafe with views and it’s family friendly and quiet beach, Santa Fe for Mexican but we disliked how loud it was within the space provided, and the Waterfront Cafe with views overlooking the lake. We enjoyed the little nooks of local shops at The Plaza, or alleyways with hidden stores, it’s conveniently an easy walk around. Most parking is up to 2 hours whereas, there’s 3 hours just behind the Merimbula RSL. We would definitely loved to come back when the weather clears up and stay a longer!

The apartment had a great view of the bay, with outside table and chairs. Very close to the sand bars and beaches. Pelicans everywhere waiting for the fish to come in. The apartments are spacious, very new and comfortable. The layout is great and the kitchen is well equiped. It is only some 10-15 minutes to walk over the bridge to the center of the city. Situated in a secondary street with walkers, bikes and a low speed allowed it is very relaxing. A very friendly lady in the office showed us around the apartment and made us feel at home.

Location was handy - could even walk between hotel and airport (only 2 km)! easy access to beach/lake/town/walks. we were upgraded from 1 bedroom unit to 3 bedroom townhouse which was more than we needed but the added space was much appreciated. Hotel has tennis/lap and casual pool/bbqs/car parking, units fully equipped. Would be great for larger groups either in share or separate bookings.

Spotless little motel with super friendly owners, I highly reccommend The Pelican. We arrived with a baby which means lots of gear and extra questions but nothing was too hard for Tom on the front desk. Walked to dinner that night and the water for breakfast the next day. There's lots of good motel options in Merimbula it seems, but we were so happy we fluked The Pelican - we'll be back.

Great hotel, we love it. The room was very clean, the room and facilities inside was very organized, we very much enjoyed our stay there. The staff working there are kind and friendly. Location is great, in the middle , city center and walking distance to everything. I highly recommend this hotel, clean, and comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Nice pool too. Thanks.

Comfortable property that was pet friendly with a fully fenced yard and no extra pet fee's. The house was very spacious with a huge kitchen. The couches and lounge rooms were very comfortable and a nice fireplace. The bedroom was very cold and although a heater was provided, it was a bit small for the space, but that was about the only small downside.

Our family stayed at Beach Cabins for four nights and it was fabulous, clean, quiet and very comfortable and functional. The beach and lookout was 3 minutes walk and we didn't expect it , because the price was very reasonable. We would highly recommend it for everyone visiting Merimbula for holidays.
