Takes a couple of days to get used to Iceland and Reykjavík because its so different but then you start to appreciate its beauty and the vibe down town Raykjavik. Very ‘chilled out’ and an excellent place to walk around and eat and drink. Plenty of attractions to visit. You just need to remember that its not a cheap place to go. Expect to pay over £10 for a pint of beer or glass of wine. ( if you are reading this from London, you might think this is not expensive ! ) Having said that, we would love to visit again. The people are lovely and most speak good English.

We don't usually like back to the same place twice but would definitely like to return to Reykjavik. Iceland is an amazing, constantly changing place and it is hard to capture all the sensations it evokes. The people are extremely friendly and don't seem to be concerned with all the strife in the outside World. My original reason for going was to see the Northern lights. We didn't get to see them (they are unpredictable as is the weather in Iceland) but I didn't regret going.

Mixed behavior with people.
Mixed behavior with people. I dealt with a lot of happy locals and a lot of grumpy locals. We went to so the golden circle trip and we visited a mini mart close to a fuelling station to look for a car charger. The staff threw the cable literally on the counter. Very rude. Staff at the Hard Rock Cafe were all fantastic. Hressó staff are great as well. Never had any bad experiences with them.

Beautiful city. So clean and actually surprisingly quiet for a city. Never heard a siren once in our whole week there. Plenty to see and do. Loads of places to eat drink and shop. Great public pools. Plenty of bus stops so no need to be getting taxi.CatrionaIreland

The location was the best part, it was a few minutes walk to the main streets and sea front. Free street parking was great. The staff at IG really made it feel homely and were always there to greet and give recommendations, Alberto especially was extremely friendly and made it feel like staying with a friend! I ended up with a corner room on 7th floor, so was able to look out over the Harpa Concert Center and the bay, it was beautiful. The bed was probably the best one on my week long trip and was finally able to have a good nights rest. The ladies at the front desk were awesome and so friendly. The Sky Bar and Restaurant on the top floor had an amazing view, the breakfast was included in my room rental and omg well worth it!!

They were able to provide for my requests of cutlery dead of the night. The location is also great! bus stops are near by. hotel also provides a pick up service from the airport for an economic fee. Breakfast was also pretty decent. Not many vegetarian options but with bread and salad veggies, it’s also easy to set a sandwich. :)
