Great facilities and location. 20 mins from white cliffs and 10 mins from the Harbour. The man who checked us in asked what time we would be checking out. When I said 4:20am he made arrangements for me and the family to have a take away breakfast ready.

The hotel was cheap. We wanted a stay close to Dover for an early morning ferry, and this was by far the cheapest in the area. We were placed in a far-off corner of the hotel so at least were away from the noise. Beds were comfortable enough.

Lovely central location with something for everyone.
Lovely central location with something for everyone. Lovely walks as a whole family. A good range of shops, restaurants, pubs and bars. Canterbury was 20-30 minute drive away which was lovely as we went on a boat tour and saw the stunning cathedral. We were able to get to mist places on foot and there was a lot to do. Parks, beach, harbor arm, cinema, shops and lots of lovely sights. We had a lovely Greek dinner on the harbor arm, however, it was quite expensive. We had a chicken gyros, a lamb one, a chicken gyros bowl, chips and some hummus with pitta and it was £60.Samantha - 8.0Scored 8.0

It wasn't my first choice (I was catching the channel ferry and I would have preferred to have been in Dover) but what a pleasant surprise. I was travelling with my dog and I was amazed at how dog friendly the town was. I particularly liked the coastal walks and I enjoyed reading the informational plaques around the town. One thing I found so touching was Remembrance Road adorned with the handmade poppies. I was struck by how much effort the council has devoted to highlighting Folkestone's attractions and making them accessible to visitors. I enjoyed just wandering around the town with my dog and appreciating it's history and sights. Folkestone turned out to be a serendipitous experience and I'm glad that I didn't stay in Dover.DeborahSaudi Arabia - 10Scored 10

We booked the family room to get a quiet good night sleep as we were travelling at 6am the following morning....We were woken at 3am by the room next door where 3 single gentlemen were staying...loud music, shouting and walking up and down the corridor speaking loudly with no care to other guests...Reception arrived promptly and things did quieten down a little....Why put 3 single men next to a family room? Absolutely no reply from 3 sent emails to the hotel...very very poor!!!

To flag there are several flights of stairs and no lift so not one if you're less mobile or elderly who may struggle with getting heavier bags up there.
