I was looking for someplace to stay prior to flying out from Keflavik airport, I had a rental car, and I did not want to stay within the urban area on the coast to the north of the airport. For me, the Garður Apartments were ideal: there was a kitchen area to prepare food (because there are no nearby restaurants), the area was quiet except for calling birds, and I enjoyed walking to lighthouse that is about 20 minutes' walk away. The airport is roughly a 15-minute drive away, and so easy to reach with a car.

This was such a great apartment, very large with all the amenities. The beds were comfortable, temperature in apartment easily adjusted because each room has its own furnace. t was clean and perfect location to Keflavik airport but also right down the road from the Gardur Lighthouse and Rostin Restaurant (great food and view). Margret, the owner or manager of the apartment, was so kind and helpful, we would love to have stayed longer.

Loved the rustic decor, the friendly staff, the walk to the lighthouse, the proximity to the airport, and the delicious, included breakfast! The bar/restaurant is lovely! Loved seeing the horses out my bedroom window! The inn was clean and comfortable! Would definitely return! Perfect, quick getaway to KEF on our last day. 10 min drive to drop off rental car!

We stayed for six nights in one of the Gardur studios, which was a great place to spend our time in Iceland. The apartment was clean, fully equipped and cozy. We even managed to watch the northern lights from the window of our bedroom. Something that we will never forget. Margret is wonderful, always helpful in case you need. Thank you for everything

Breakfast was prompt; wide ranging and well set out. The food was delicious. The room was spacious, modern, clean, and extremely comfortable We chose the hotel for its location, secluded, but near to the lighthouse museum and coast for birdwatching. It is also a short drive to the car rental return and the airport.

Nice apartment with two (smallish) bedrooms. Close to the ocean and the lighthouses of Gardur. The apartment had everything we needed, although we missed a tea kettle. Good coffee provided. The hot water takes a while to get warm. The apartment is great for 2, with 4 should also be okay.

Spacious, comfortable, and great value. The property had everything that we needed and was close to the airport. Although there was not much open in Gardur itself, Keflavik was close by and had several restaurants, even ones open fairly late. I recommend this property.

The staff were great and very helpful. The hotel is gorgeous, the photos online really don't do it justice. Great location by the lighthouses and close to the airport. We were offered a packed lunch instead of breakfast which was brilliant.

A lovely apartment to stay in Gardur. Very close to the sea and the lighthouses, a lot of green around. A great place to stay in contact with nature. Everything was very clean and nice. and it was very quiet at night. I would stay again.

I always stay in Gardur when arriving and departing Iceland as it is so close to the airport. Great value accommodation and also a great restaurant next to the lighthouse. The fish stew is amazing!
