Filthy. Smelled like the room was smoked in right before we got there and for years before. there were toenail clippings on the floor from the last person and clearly hadn't been cleaned at all. we also waited at the front dest to check in for almost an hour cause staff was absent.

FAQs about hotels in Reno
On average, 3-star hotels in Reno cost € 109.48 per night, and 4-star hotels in Reno are € 99.52 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Reno can on average be found for € 66 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
In many respects Reno is a less outlandish version of its Nevada cousin Las Vegas. Within minutes of landing at Reno-Tahoe Airport you can be hearing the dinging of slot machines on Virginia Street where a glowing neon arch welcomes you to ‘The Biggest Little City in the World’.
Across the plaza is Harrah’s Reno, just one casino hotel available on Booking.com. Larger casinos with spas, such as Peppermill and Atlantis, are off the main strip. The largest is the Grand Sierra Resort with its own amusement park, large pool and night club. Pet-friendly motels and cheap hostels are other options.
Aside from gambling, the city hosts many events including the Reno River Festival in Wingfield Park. The Truckee River Walk connects shops, restaurants and bars popular with students at the nearby University of Nevada, the state’s oldest. The campus includes the Mackay Stadium and Fleischmann Science Center and Planetarium, set opposite the arboretum of Rancho San Rafael Park.
The Nevada Museum of Art is in Reno and neighbouring Sparks has a Heritage Museum. The 2 cities share a convention centre and livestock events centre, and there are many golf courses in their green surroundings. Even lusher are the Sierra Nevada mountains, whose peaks around Lake Tahoe offer some of the best US skiing.
3 days was perfect time. Enough to lose some money but not over what I had expected. We had a car one day that was nice but inside the city if very depressed (boarded up) but they seem to be working on it. The river walk was great, over neighborhood a bit iffy.

I was born here, I would visit Reno more often due to the immense beauty of the surrounding area, the arts, food, and things to do. I suggest going camping or visiting the wilderness (with Caution) and go see some of the history of the Silver city (biggest little city)

All I can say is Reno is now what it used to be cracked up to It used to be really the spot until COVID after COVID all downhill kind of like a ghost town downtown. A lot of the casinos are shut down nobody really is partying or having lots of fun like they used to be I've been there a lot of times before and after not really sure of a great place to eat we just eat wherever is convenient. Getting around part well Google maps will do that for you if you have a car which is normally what I have.

Our room was decent but the rest of the hotel was unsatisfactory, to say the least. There's free parking but we're handicapped so we had to pay for valet parking and pay and pay because of having to leave the hotel for different reasons. The service in the restaurants was very slow and the slots were tighter than a witches ***. I asked around to a lot of people and they said the same thing. The machines weren't paying crap. I just kept putting money into them with no payout. The signs around the casino were very poor. We could never find our way around because there was very little direction. What's with that???
We will never go there again.
I have been staying at the Whitney Peak since they opened in 2014 (I was so excited to find a hotel in Reno that wasn't a casino!) - and it has just gotten better over time. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, very clean, and nicely decorated and all of the staff is friendly and professional. We love the location - we can easily walk to the River Walk, the Nevada Museum of Art and some of our favorite restaurants (we also love the restaurant in the Whitney Peak). It's also a great value.
The rooms are spacious, and very clean. The parking lot is very large. There was enough space to park our large pickup truck with no problems. Some of the hotels downtown have small parking lots, and this makes it very hard to park large vehicles. One of our trips to Reno I had made a reservation at one of these hotels. It was impossible to park, so we left. Since then we have always stayed here.
Shower head the rest of the hotel is awful
Really gone downhill every year no investment not that cheap. I will never stay and bring friends there again ever. No sins explaining the miles walk to sky tower no assistance no workers no signs cheap bare minimum . Old dirty casino is ghetto. Disgusting and unpleasant .to cheap to do anything anymore there. I used to like it
Clean room, nice big bathroom, comfy bed, great view. Fun carnival games. Love the location with all 3 hotels connected. We were in sky tower which is a little cheaper and a little further walk to the casino but not bad, and all indoors. Free coffee in room, refrigerator, prompt maid service. Nice late night pizza (til 1am) in the food court.
It was surprisingly quiet from our room. Just some rowdy neighbors down the hall one night, and they left after 45 minutes or so. The casino and facilities were clean and nearly bum-free. That's an upgrade from the downtown Reno experience, where it's not too safe to walk in certain areas.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, good casino. Felt safe, and had food options on site. Good location, only 10 minutes to downtown Reno. Close to gas stations, stores, restaurants, pharmacies. Room was in separate building from casino (just across the parking lot), so it was quiet at night.
.Great value for money. Downtown Reno is not pretty at all, homeless & drugs everywhere.. this hotel is away from that, 5 min drive.
Fine for a stopover which is all we were doing. We drove 5 mins opposite direction to a lovely area with lots of shops, bars, restaurants
Best price/quality I have ever paid. I pay a very low price (65$) so I had NO expectation, but everything went well. Room were just renovated(412), were very clean. Great pation with BBQ, pool was warm and clean. Employees were helpful and sympatic. Very well located
The hotel room and public areas looked so nice I thought the hotel had recently been renovated but the staff told me “No”. I was only there a single night but had a peaceful sleep on a comfy bed and the bathroom was immaculate. I would stay there again
Friendly service, spacious room, quiet. Good temperature control. Parking included and conveniently (enough) located next door to the hotel entrance. Location is right in downtown Reno, which was giving a bit of an eerily abandoned vibe on Monday night.
Very nice rooms. We had a "Corner King Suite." So, we had two giant windows with views over the Eldorado and downtown Reno. Really cool! We typically stay at the Peppermill, but this was a nice change for once. Casino was also clean.
It was a nice facility located in a great place in downtown Reno. One of the elevators was out of order which required a long walk through the Howard Johnson hotel for some reason I don't understand
Like many hotels in Reno, this one is actually a casino with an attached hotel. You can tell. The rooms were okay, but not great. I can recommend it for a night or two, but not for a longer stay.
It’s a great place for families. Good place for family activities. Overall, we really like this hotel. Only one bad thing to mention is the room service, they don’t clean everyday.
