I had to be in this area for some work and booked one night here. I had little expectation that this would be any good as it was quite cheap for the Reykjavik district. What I found was a fantastic boutique hotel that has amazing rooms and is very clean. Nearby are a number of decent restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

The staff were very friendly and the facility was very clean and added bonus of free breakfast and coffee, tea and hot water available 24 hrs.
Hotel Muli offers accommodations in Reykjavík. WiFi is free. Restaurant, shopping and museums are accessible within a 5-minute walk. Each room has a flat-screen TV.
Our room was clean, with a comfortable bed and the convenience of a small kitchenette and an electric kettle for tea and coffee, which was provided. A quaint pub was on the property and although they did not have a kitchen to provide dinner there were local options nearby and, they did offer and traditional Icelandic breakfast in the morning as well as offer a delicious lamb soup that we had for lunch while staying there. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. I highly recommend staying here if you're going to be in the area.
We spent our first night in Iceland at Laxnes.
We left early in the morning so did not experience all of the facilities.
The staff member who checked us in was nice and welcoming.
The room was simple but spacious and clean.
There seem to be sufficient places to eat and do your grocey shopping in the area.
The location is great. Half way between the airport and Thingvellir park.
The location of the hotel was about 15-20 minutes drive outside of Reykjavik and right off the Golden Circle. Our room looked out onto snow covered mountains; It was absolutely beautiful! The room was large and comfortable. Everyone was so nice. Onsite parking. Our room had a balcony and we were able to see the aurora from it! Very quiet and relaxing
With convenient location right by the ring road and less than one hour driving from the airport, Hotel Laxnes is an excellent option to start or finish a round trip in Iceland. The rooms are spotless and spacious and the breakfast is simple but good quality, price is reasonable in Icelandic comparison - highly recommended.
Hotel Laxnes exceeded my expectations in every way. The location was stunning, the rooms were clean and tidy, and the bar was amazing with friendly staff. Plus, the entertainment options like watching football on a big screen and playing darts and pool made the stay even more enjoyable.
Highly recommend!
Ásta was always friendly and helpful in our email exchanges. The flat was downstairs in a semi detached building, which you approached along one side. The key was in a small box outside the entrance.
The attractive township of Mosfellsbær ( Moor Mountain Township )is nearby ,with Reykjavík not far away.
Convenient stay for visiting the Golden Circle. Spacious room, decent breakfast. You can book the hot tub in the hotel, but it is quite noisy since the highway is very close and a bit pricey, so we didn't do it. Very helpful and nice stuff. Number of fast food places very close by as well as a restaurant.
Breakfast was not included.
The room was quiet, clean and warm.
Don't be surprised. This hotel has a window on the ceiling that allows you to see the outside, and on the first day I arrived in Iceland, I witnessed the Aurora and took a video.
I highly recommend it.
The staff is lovely. The bar they have is really cozy and nice. The room was spacious and the price for a night was very reasonable. Its location in Mosfellsbær and right in front of a bus stop that goes to downtown Reykjavík is perfect, too.
A quaint hotel containing artefacts relating to Icelandic culture, including a reference to Halldór Kiljan Laxnes, who won the Nobel prize for literature in 1955. Laxnes lived not far away on the þingvellir road.
I fill like at home, everything so authentic, real that make you happy.
I definitely recommend this hotel.
Good transport connection. Not far from Reykjavik. Big size of room. Everything nice and clean.
There was not too many restaurants around here… mostly fast food. The lamb stew offered by the hotel was fantastic! Also good to have the bar within the hotel was convenient. Definitely worth trying.
The room and location exceeded our expectations and the staff was very friendly. The room was really big and cozy, just what we wanted for our stay in Iceland.
