We went to a military swap meet at the airbase and only stayed one night at the hotel. We would have liked to stay atleast 2 to 3 nights but had another engagement. The swap meet was great, my husband restores military HMMWV'S so we were on a mission to get parts. It would have been nice to wander around more, next time!

Hagerstown is a great place to stay when visiting Antietam battlefield. Additionally, it has great facilities for doing laundry and stocking up on items depleted during an extended trip. The choice of restaurants is excellent as well.

Ate at a great, local restaurant downtown.
Ate at a great, local restaurant downtown. Just stayed the night in town as we were coming from Harpers Ferry and were going to see Antietam National Battlefield the next day. I wish I'd taken the time to explore downtown Hagerstown. The architecture was really cool!

An old town with a lot of character and history dating back to the 18th century. The downtown area a a thriving A & E district with lots of unique dining and drinking available. It is the county seat of Washington County, yes that Washington and home to a particularly delicious local food staple that can only be found in this area. You'll have to experience this for yourself. The locals call it a "steamer". Just one of many delightful surprises to behold in Hagerstown.

I went there to see a play at the Washington County...
I went there to see a play at the Washington County Community Playhouse. The play was great. Everyone there is very friendly & accomodating. Food was good. I went too the Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum. They don't have a lot but what they do have is interesting too look at & learn about. They have an engine, several cabooses & some cars & other items outside. They have the last trolley to run in Washington County MD outside their museum. They also have a gift shop. Very friendly folks.
They didn't have breakfast saying due to covid. But they sold mini bags of chips for 4 dollars a bag. The hotel was filthy it took me 45 minutes to find my room. No map available when I pulled up I watched an obvious drug deal. There were over a dozen prostitutes out back at night. The hotel was filthy I found a half eaten pizza under the couch.. by far the worst hotel ever. The temperature in hallway was 94 degrees when I arrived. The air in room took 6 hours to get temperature below 80 degrees. Never again
The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean. The pool area looked like a tornado hit it after people or unsupported kids just thrown down the hotel pool towels everywhere.
breakfast was okay, they ran out of syrup 15 mins after breakfast started and did not have anymore and ran out of toppings for the oatmeal.
Our room was beside the interstate and it was noisy, no fault of the hotel… just be aware.
Location close to 81. Room clean and quiet. Close to food and gas. Loved the shower stalls. Staff was accommodating. I asked about staying back at this hotel on our return trip and was told to call from the road, give the information that we had stayed on Sunday. 7/31, and our information would be pulled up to confirm the reservation. That's a plus when one is traveling unknown roads.
We usually stay at a different local hotel, but have now stayed at the Hampton Inn twice. It has a nice assortment of breakfast options, clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, spacious bathrooms, a coffee/tea/hot chocolate station, and friendly and helpful staff. My husband now says he prefers the Hampton Inn as our primary layover choice when driving up the east coast.
Comfy stay! However, the room could use some minor upgrades, especially since the refrigerator was located in the bathroom. Also, at the entrance of the hotel, there was some water damage on the ceiling before walking out the door. Otherwise, the room was well worth the price for my location, comfortability, cleanliness, etc. I would return to this location.
It was clean, comfortable, breakfast was great and the bathroom was fully stocked with towels, tissue, etc. This is one of the best hotels in the Hagerstown area. I would highly recommend this hotel. I will be back.
Also, convenience of location is a plus as it is right next to Valley Mall so I can go to the arcade, the movie theater, restaurants, etc.
This Sleep Inn is well located—there is a Cracker Barrel restaurant right beside the hotel and a Walmart right behind it, plus a Sheetz gas station and store about a quarter mile away. The hotel is located within about a half mile from Interstate 70. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel advertises a complimentary full breakfast.
The Super 8 Hagerstown is a nice layover spot. The rooms are clean, the water is hot and the water pressure is very good - very important when you want to relax after a long days driving. I never partake of the breakfast, not because I don't like it, but because I prefer to sleep a little later and then go to the nearby Waffle House.
This is what you would call an old Motel with individual units side by side open to the parking lot. There was no breakfast, which was in the promotion of the hotel. Only a small kiosk of goods available until 10PM (Chips/snacks)
Nice old Pine floors in rooms, but uneven in spots.
Breakfast spread was great, there was a good variety of options. There was plenty of seating. Hotel location was nice and quiet even though it's by a busy road. Getting off & on the highway was easy. Staff was very friendly and polite.
The room was a great size. We loves how the TV could pull out and turn so we could watch it in bed. It was awesome how there was an option to use your cell phone as the remote and all the information for the hotel was on the TV.
The staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel in general was clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious and very clean. Great location, would recommend and will stay there next time we are in Hagerstown.
Hotelwas great- I gave it a lower rating because it was super noisy at night. The walls are very thin - and we spent the entire evening until about 4am listening to the loud party music from another guest.
Grand hotel; room was excellent. Great value. I have paid $200 per night for less value.
Gracious and professional staff. Went out of their way to insure satisfaction and delight in this encounter.
Location is good. It’s right near the interstate. The people who worked here had nice customer service. This hotel was pretty big. The only good thing was it was cheap. Guess I got what I paid for.
