Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull.

We were stuck in this area due to weather so this was a last minute booking but the place was very nice! The staff at front desk was so so nice! Was a bit on the expensive side but we also booked last minute and were thankful to have a place to stay!

The room curtains let the light around the sides during the night. Could be darker and be able to cover the sides. Since the bed was below the curtains, it was too bright early in the morning (3:30 am)

Lovely quiet village on the sea.

Lovely quiet village on the sea. The langoustine remind me more of shrimp due to the size. They are tasty and mild flavored. It’s a great place for a relaxing stay. We are at Kaffihornid. Lovely atmosphere, tasty burgers and lobster pasta and sandwich. I wouldn’t recommend the lobster soup. It’s a clear broth and doesn’t have much flavor, not worth the price in my opinion. We stayed at Skyaborg apartments and highly recommend them. ZBistro also has a breakfast restaurant, which is unusual for Iceland.

Very quaint and QUIET seaport town.

Very quaint and QUIET seaport town. A lot of the restaurants and bars were closed during my stay but was able to go to 1 of them which was lovely. It's a very far east part of Iceland I recommend going to, even if it is for 1 night.

Gem! This was worth the extra drive to visit. Honestly it was my favorite part of Iceland. Rugged beauty without the long line of tourist buses to contend with. Stokksnes Beach is a hidden gem at sunrise!

The Berjaya in Höfn is in a wonderful position with the harbour on one side and a view out across the water to the glaciers and the west on the other. It is also easy walking distance to all the local bars and restaurants.

Hofn is a lovely town in SE Iceland.

Hofn is a lovely town in SE Iceland. It has numerous, easy walking paths thru town and around their waterfront including a golf course with views that I think rival those of the finest courses in the world. Not a golfer, but if I were, this is a place I would want to play. It was spectacular. The views of the glacier were outstanding. There were several good restaurants, lobster is a local specialty. There are nature and art trails along the waterfront and a number of good historical exhibits. Wished we could have spent more time here. It felt like a vibrant, fully functioning community that I would have liked to explore more.

Rooms are comfy, clean and the units are just what we needed for 1 night. We had already done groceries so we had the breakfast in our room. You can make tea/coffee and there is a table with 2 chairs meant just for this. Nice view too regardless if you having a room with our without mountain view. Diner in Höfn is perfectly feasible. Good stop between Vik and the northern / west part of Iceland.

The guesthouse is really nice and has the perfect location in Höfn with a beautiful surrounding. The coffee machine in the kitchen made awesome coffee and we used it a lot. We really liked the eating area and scrolled through the travel information provided. Also the room was really quiet, which we did not experience often in Iceland as the walls seemed really thin in other hotels.

A beautiful and charming cabin on a typical Icelandic farm. Away from tourists yet only minutes drive to Höfn. Owner Ana warmly welcomed us. Comfortable living room and kitchen. Barbecue grill on covered deck. Bunk bed in one room, queen bed in another room. Perfect for a family of four. We only stayed one night. Really wished we could stay longer!

Central but quiet location next to supermarket and near harbour area with restaurants. Nice, modern, comfortable and very clean. Good size room. Correct price. One of the few apartments in Iceland where we could see the owner. Just ring the doorbell and you can talk with him or he can come in a few minutes to solve any problem.

Hosts are very responsive and helpful during a really bad storm. This place is perfectly cozy and lets you experience staying in the middle of the field of Iceland! Everything was super clean and comfortable and had a homey touch. I would 1000% recommend to anyone visiting Iceland.

The location was perfect, the views splendid. We were greeted by Icelandic horses, who were "waiting" for us right next to our cabin. My son loved the bunk bed. We couldn't have asked for a better location, halfway between Höfn and Jökulsárlón. Highly recommended!!

Some hotels in Iceland are perfectly crafted for tour buses. Hotel Jökull is one of them–but surprisingly they're also excellent at treating people travelling without buses! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the service was extremely pleasant.

The guesthouse is situated quite conveniently close to the South Iceland main road. For kids a table soccer offers some distraction. As the next city (Höfn) is still 25 km away, it is nice that the guesthouse offers dinner as well as breakfast.

The traditional Iceland buffet breakfast was complete and well tended. The room was clean, new and modern. During breakfast, a sheep and two lambs walked up to the window to say hello and posed for pictures.
