Haifa is a beautiful city. There are plenty of places to visit there and it is a city filled with a great variety of food and culture. I specially liked the bars and restaurants around the fruit and vegetables market. And the most important you have public transportation on Saturday which is very important for the traveler and is so uncommon in the rest of Israel.
We liked Haifa very much ,you can make very good sight seeing tours from there ,it is nearby to all the places ,were Jesus Christ has been ,like Tabgha with the church of multiplication, the sea of galiley, Kapernaum ,Nazareth, and many more. The gardens of Bahai. All destinations are not so far away from Haifa, so we could make a lot of sight seeing from there ,and come back in the evening and maybe eat so delicous food in the bar restaurant at the beach and refresh ourselfs in the sea, it was just perfect. The water is still very warm until the morning .
Not much to see or do here. Went to a German Colony restaurant which was nice but the Baha'i Gardens were closed except for one terrace at the very top. Not recommended AS A DESTINATION FOR TRAVELING IN iSRAEL.
The hotel cheated the clients. They sent me a WhatsApp: if I pay HKD500 more, I cant get a seaview room. But in a face, all the hotel rooms are faced the sea. Our friend no deed to pay any more, they also got the same seaview room as us. Even I complainted several times, but the hotel had no any reply. I am so angry for that.
A fully integrated city where Christians, Muslims, Druze and Jews coexist harmoniously. The richness of that reality is on view everywhere. We were in town during the Christmas season, and, while subdues due to he war, was visible and festive nonetheless. The city architecturally is fascinating ad of course the port of Haifa is mesmerizing. It is a hilly city situated on the Carmel range and so the views are breath taking. Bring binoculars.
I used to live here for a long time, so I am biased. It's as bustling as ever, despite the challenging times. The old city is undergoing a revival, and the upper city remains nice, however Hadar seems to be sinking into further neglect in some areas. There aren't a huge number of attractions, but there are a few museums, gardens and parks (including the Baha'i gardens), and lots of restaurant options.
