Never expected to meet this on a location, in a city like this! Compliments for what these people doing! Nothing to much, everything done with attention to their guests. Invested hours in fixing our (private!) phone problems, what a level! Sure you'll never get this from the best and most expensive hotel concerns... Location is just around the corner of a "live-city" but in the quietness of a private area. Good location for a good sleep in a perfect room with a good bed and bath room. No worries: your belongings are all safe behind the guarded gate. Just stayed for one night, so enjoyed just one evening diner and a breakfast but can tell: good! Prepared with attention, served with a smile and a good taste for a reasonable price. This hotel and staff is really the top and highly recommended!

The 1st impression from all of us when entering the unit was wow!! very luxury, every corner of the unit was just perfect!. We were there only for a night just to catch up our early morning flight on the next day. The owner (Ms Fransisca) was very attentive for answering every question we ask. She tried her best to fulfill our needs to ensure we get our best stay there. Honest feedback from her was, she's new in booking.com so there's always a room to improvise on the basic facilities should be there to provide for future guests. Every corner of the unit was exactly as advertised.

Spent my 27th birthday on this property and couldn't have found a better way to start the year. The beautiful clear water of the Toba had been tempting me from the day before and it was the first thing I did on the morning of my birthday. You can practically jump into the water from your room balcony (please don't. It's metamorphic and you'll die). But it was as stunning a view one can get, and the fact that this is so affordable makes it feel like a dream. Food was fantastic. I was traveling with my sister and she's vegetarian and so was the restaurant. Great dishes. Location top notch. You obviously need a scooter to get around and completely immerse yourself in the serene and breathtaking views of Toba. So yes, definitely get a scooter. Definitely stay here. And definitely eat at Jenny's, whcih is about 3km away. Ali and Katie (the owners) were super friendly and warm and welcoming and we've made friends for life. Can't wait to come back. (also, the pictures on booking.com don't truly reflect the actual size of thr room. It's MASSIVE. You actually get 2 full rooms, not 1. Pleasant pleasant surprise!)

Great location, central to the town and close to trekking tracks. Great access to the River for cooling swims. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the Aircon is a lifesaver on these very humid days. Staff were exceptionally helpful , assisting with tours, laundry and transport and were always available with a smile. The recommended trekking guide had been working with Orangutan rehabilitation since 1986, knew the best times and locations to go and could track animals through the canopy following We were lucky enough to see Orangutan in the wild on two days, along with many different monkeys, chameleon, insects and interesting plants.

Grand City Hall Hotel & Serviced Residences is situated in the heart of Medan. It is next door to the Bank Indonesia Complex. Very friendly and professional staff. They helped us with everything and even more than we asked. One of the best breakfast that we have on our trips. I work as a waitress in 5⭐ hotel so I know how to recognize a good and professional atmosphere. If you book room in this hotel,you don't have to go out. Everything you need they have. Save yourself from stress and stay in the hotel for lunch or dinner. In Lounge bar the prices are more than acceptable.
