This aparthotel provides free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. Girao Cape is 40 km from the aparthotel and Santana's traditional houses is 46 km away. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Welcoming drinks at the arrival, sparkling wine at the room. Spacious room with huge bed and even bigger pillows. Free access to the natural pools. As pools were too cold for us, we enjoyed the jacuzzi zone on the hotel roof. Breakfast was nice, with many fruit options and a nice view. Good value for money.

Boasting a rooftop pool and views of mountain, Blue House is a recently renovated apartment situated in Ponta do Sol, 70 metres from Lugar de Baixo Beach. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace. The apartment has family rooms. The location is perfect to travel around Madeira with a car (I liked the north and the west much more than the east and Funchal's surroundings). Going western of Ponta do Sol, the traffic is very light compared to Ponta do Sol and towards Funchal. In general, no issue with parking. The pool is great to cool off after a day spent hiking. The room was spacious, really enjoyed how much space I had, had some breakfasts in the balcony when it wasn't too cold. In general the room was really clean.

It is a 3-minute walk to the Botanical Garden and 5 minutes driving to the main express road (easy access). The hosts are very responsive and helped us with all our requests. They have a book of useful information, from bus schedules to the best restaurants or activities to do. They have a private parking slot, for free.
