Our room was so quiet and comfy and the shared toilet and shower was clean and spacious. The kitchen was so well stocked (spices, utensils, pans, etc). This guest house is better than the pictures! The views in and around the house are absolutely breathtaking. I enjoyed having my coffee out on the front deck with an amazing view of the mountains. The owner was eager to help make us comfortable and offer suggestions on what to do in the area :) thank you!!

Chalet Karaka was absolutely delightful - a hidden gem, tucked away in a beautiful, tranquil bushy setting with a small picturesque stream running at the bottom of the garden. The shower was fantastic - excellent pressure with a lovely glass side looking out onto the private garden and stream. The room was spacious and well appointed and the icing on the cake was the generous outdoor undercover living area/deck complete with a Weber for all your barbecue requirements. Ngairie, our host, was friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

In a lovely, quiet farm environment within an easy drive to Takaka for meals etc. Great for exploring the Golden Bay area. Debbie & Mike are great hosts and provide a generous continental breakfast each morning. We would definitely go back again.

El Ashley Villa, construido en 1891, se encuentra entre tierras de cultivo en la hermosa bahía de Oro. Ofrece una experiencia rural única. Takaka está a 7 km. I loved the gardens, the beds with flannel sheets and down comforters, the dog Zoey and mostly the host Jude. It was all so lovely!

The best pizza we have ever eaten!! Outdoor hot tub (star gazing at night), sauna and jet swim pool, sun decks, bird aviary. Accommodations - private bed/bath, shared living room and dining room with lots of space and furniture, outdoor sun deck area with seating and tables. Brochures for areas of interest in Nelson.
