3 km from Fitzroy Beach, Almost Heaven BNB is a recently renovated property set in New Plymouth and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Beautiful house and room. Very helpful and welcoming hosts. Bobby and Ian are keen to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Loads of bottled water, welcome cookies, pineapple juice and chocolates. Aircon is great, bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is left out for guests and is delicious. The accommodation is on the outskirts of New Plymouth but it's worth the drive. Super nice and helpful hosts!

The Tui cabin was perfect for us. It is cozy, lovingly decorated, modern, and comfortable. The view is fantastic. We much appreciated the bottle of wine and the chocolate!

Excellent studio with plenty of space. Beautiful gardens. Well equipped kitchenette with very good food provided for breakfast including eggs from their chickens. Very friendly hosts.

Boasting quiet street views, Regan House provides accommodation with a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge, around 42 km from Yarrow Stadium. Regan house far exceeded our expectations. Judith and Wayne were so hospitable. We greatly enjoyed having a chance to talk with them during breakfast, which was outstanding. The bedroom is beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, private bathroom. The bedroom opens into an extensive flower garden, which has places to sit and enjoy the garden and the birds. The hosts gave us helpful information on the area. Overall it's one of the best BnB's we've ever stayed in and we hope to return.

Just 3.4 km from New Plymouth city centre and the beach, 16 Havelock features free Wi-Fi, a tour desk and a communal lounge area with beautiful views of the ocean and Mount Taranaki. Our stay here was exceptional! This place did not show up when we first started searching for accommodations in New Plymouth, but we came across it the second time. We were surprised by the very positive reviews others had on the place and quickly made a booking. After staying there for 2 nights, we can definitively say that the place lived up to the expectations. Host - Our host, Brad, welcomed us warmly when we first arrived and was very friendly and hospitable throughout. He definitely made me and my wife feel welcomed throughout our stay here, and was always happy to answer any questions we had about the city, such as food, attractions, etc. We also met his wife, Fujiko, but did not have much interactions with her. Accommodation - The house and its surroundings are beautiful. They have a well maintained garden in the front and out back, with flowers blooming nicely (this was in Spring). The owners rear chickens for eggs, and Brad let us watch him feed them and collect the eggs. He also owns 3 friendly cats, although don't let that stop you if you are allergic. The house is well maintained and the decorations are nice and cozy, and you feel tempted to just sit and relax at their living room after a day out. Food - The breakfast, cooked by Brad, was simple but delicious and filling. This includes homemade bread with jam the owners made from fruit grown in the garden, and Brad is happy to accommodate requests to make your eggs differently. Fujiko cooks dinner if requested, although we did not get to try it in our time there, so we can't comment about it. Tea and Coffee is also available throughout the day. Wifi - The wifi is stable and good. Definitely a welcomed improvement over our own shoddy rented portable wifi. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and should we ever visit New Zealand again, we would definitely stay here again.
