The owners were great, it’s nice to meet and find so lovely people on your journey. The house was super nice and the surrondings looked very good (we had bad weather so we couldnt do the Tongariro). If one day we are back here, we will for sure come back to this accomodation.

We got great coffee, fresh tomatoes and thyme straight from Marlene's garden. And speaking of them, Marlene and her husband are great hosts and deserve all the best. Great rooms, cozy living room, full kitchen and a fireplace heater.

Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast/dining room had a real chalet feel. The location is idyllic and only a short drive to Ohakune. The wood burner was lovely to have in the room as well.

I loved the modern, luxe feel of the entire property. Our room was very, very clean. The bed was comfy and we had all the amenities we needed. The hosts, Alan and Susie, were kind, engaging, and welcoming. They made us feel right at home!

Το National Park Alpine Lodge χτίστηκε το 1912 και προσφέρει οικονομικά καταλύματα σε στιλ backpacker σε ένα όμορφο ιστορικό κτήριο. Such a cosy lodge, the perfect spot to relax after a long day tramping/skiing/exploring the national park. I've been travelling and staying in hostels for the past few months and so decided to treat myself to a private room at the Alpine Lodge and I was so glad I did...the beds are made with a fleece mattress cover, sheets and pillow slips and this made for one of the comfiest nights sleep of my life - I never wanted to get out of bed! Decor is a little dated but this really led to me feeling more cosy and at home. The kitchen is huge and really well kitted out and clean. All facilities are clean and functional and the little shop adjoining the lodge is great for food bits. Thanks to the lovely staff for making my stay at the NP so memorable!
