Enjoyed our overnight stay, visually clean and the scent was fresh. The room was spacious. Great customer service, super accommodating and polite. We booked a wrong date , I ring the property spoke to the lovely lady she heard my baby crying in the background, when we arrived in our room she already put a baby cot in the room with note "the spa is working hope that make help you relax and enjoy your night.". It was beautiful place.
Breakfast was also a bonus.

The manager is a very nice guy and is keen to make your stay as good as it can be. This is a small country Motel and is great for an overnight stay when travelling or a few days when visiting the New England area. Your car is under cover and the room arrangement suits both summer and winter in the area.

Armidale is a nice little town to drive around and has plenty of dining options. We particularly enjoyed our meal at the Whitebull Hotel - my 2 teenagers and I all thought our meals were some of the best we've ever had.
It's easy to navigate around the town whether driving or walking. There is an information centre in town with lots of pamphlets, maps and relevant info, as well as the place to book and start a historic tour of the town.
We visited to use Armidale as a base for visiting the many National Parks and reserves in the general area. There is so much beauty within a short or moderate drive. Ebor Falls is stunning and a super short walk. New England NP around the Point Lookout area is so beautiful with its Gondwana forest. Cathedral Rock NP is a contrast to this with giant granite boulders and lots of orchids and other flowers at the right time of year. South of Armidale is Apsley Gorge and falls, and Dangar Falls - both had minimal water coming over the falls when we visited, but were still so picturesque and would be amazing to see after a decent rainfall.

We only stayed for one night, on our way home to Queensland.
We only stayed for one night, on our way home to Queensland. We did not have a booking, but it was pet friendly. We googled the restaurants and hotels that were pet friendly, we found the Grand Hotel that catered to pet owners, it was was a lovely hotel, met a few "locals" made us feel at home, the meal was top notch, and our dog was very welcome. If we had more time, we would have loved to to stay in Armidale for few more days. It's a very interesting place to see and do things, we will definitely go back again .

Well laid out town with great options for restaurants, plenty of beautiful buildings and churches to look at. See Saw was a great breakfast coffee shop to fuel up for a big adventurous day.
The city mall center has great potential but the vibe has been affected by economic troubles.
We are an older couple & I had reserved a ground floor room but on arrival found that we had been assigned to an upstairs one.
Although the motel is only 2 stories high, with outside stairs, the receptionist happily gave us a ground floor room as requested on my booking form.
Also the TV remote control was clean, not sticky.
4 chargers were available for electric vehicles.
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The Art Deco refurbishment is outstanding. The rooms were comfy, the guest lounge a pleasant surprise and a luxury for guests to enjoy their stay.
The included continental breakfast was generous and a small upgrade to the fully cooked breakfast did not disappoint.
Wish we were there for better weather as the garden bar looked fabulous, too.
Excellent central location in safe and quiet part of Armidale. We were driving through after visiting family and will definitely stay again when travelling through. We really enjoyed having the extra room that you don't get with a hotel and seperate lounge and kitchen and especially that it was pet friendly. Nice and clean and off street parking too which is always a plus!
This is a tranquil and comfortable self contained apartment, beautifully furnished and roomy. Terri our host was welcoming and thoughtful. We often break our car trips in Armidale and were lucky enough to find The Stables vacant at it is usually booked out. Next time I hope to hear rain on the metal roof, such a joy.
The lady in the office was nice. OK to stay at if passing through and just want somewhere cheap to sleep for a night. They offered breakfast with my booking, it's not something they offer anymore, but you're not missing out on anything by not getting it. The air-con worked a treat to warm the room and wasn't noisy.
linnen was fresh, towles were half fluffy. location to our sporting fields, other activities was central, with pubs clubs coles all in walking distance. older style AC worked well on the very chilly morning and nights, and a new AC was installed but not yet workimg while we were out for the day.

My only choice from now on In armidale
The staff were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Even though the hotel is located in the CBD I found my room to be quiet, peaceful and restful. I would have no hesitation in staying there in the future and would reccmmend Abbotsleigh to anyone
It was such a pretty and trendy place. Not at all what I expected for Armidale and I loved it. I wish there were more places like it near Sydney (where I live) because it was such a cool place. I will definitely be recommending it to friends.
A crown jewel of private accommodation in Armidale.. huge space, very comfortable, beautiful garden, you hear nothing but the birds in the morning. Lots of special touches in the room... I let you discover those yourselfs..
The location was great, comfortable bed, roomy, homey, nothing was any trouble with our hosts, great to communicate with.
We would recommend this stay and will book again the next time in Armidale.
Armidale cottage is perfectly situated. The facilities were excellent, furnishings, are beautiful, well set out and comfortable too. We only wish that we could have stayed for more than 1 night.
the location is excellent - just off the highway but only a stone’s throw from the main Armidale shopping and restaurant areas. being able to feed the deer was a wonderful novel experience.
A lovely unit in a quiet area close to Armidale and in walking distance of shops and restaurants. Good size unit with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Great hosts and were very helpful.
Great little home to stay in, my husband and i walked into town, great location. I grew up in Armidale and it was the perfect location/stay to show my husband around.
