Silken Al-Andalus Palace, hotel in Seville

Silken Al-Andalus Palace Hotel is just 10 minutes’ drive from Seville's historic centre.

The breakfast was excellent, and well displayed. Although the hotel was busy, the buffet remained replenished with plenty of choice. The omlettes cooked to order were superb. Tables were cleared swiftly and efficiently- staff were very friendly. The check in/check out staff were friendly and efficient. We enjoyed some fabulous cocktails in the Cocktail Bar each evening!

Hotel Posada del Lucero, hotel in Seville

Set in a nationally listed monument, dating from the 16th century, Hotel Posada del Lucero is located in Seville’s Old Town.

The hotel was beautiful, modern but kept its old architecture. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and so helpful. They spoke English well and recommended many places to visit during the stay. The location is fantastic, just round the corner from Setas and a short walk from other tourist attractions. The rooftop bar was lovely for a pre-dinner drink, and they served salted nuts and sweets with every alcoholic drink purchased.

FAQs about hotels in Seville

Hot by Day, Hotter by Night

Seville is a city that lends itself perfectly to just wandering around and soaking up the atmosphere. And there is plenty of atmosphere to be soaked up.

People watching is very much a pastime here, and all over Seville restaurants teem with well-heeled locals enjoying a laidback coffee or cerveza under the shade of a citrus tree.

The city also has its fair share of must-see sights. Top of the list is Plaza de España whose monumental, semi-circular building is elaborately decorated with Andalusian tiles. Also typically Andalusian is the Seville Bull Ring, though what goes on inside may not be to everyone’s taste. The resting place of Christopher Columbus, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Seville Cathedral is an awe-inspiring structure whose vast vaults provide welcome relief from the heat of the day.

But it’s after dark that things really start to heat up. Streets pulse to the rhythm of flamenco, and with more bars per inhabitant than anywhere else in Europe, there’s no shortage of choice for nightlife.

Just on the outskirts of the city is Seville Airport. Public transport from here provides easy access to the array of Seville hotels, guest houses and apartments that Booking.com has to offer.

Cathedral was amazing. Get tickets before you go....

Cathedral was amazing. Get tickets before you go.... The Alcazar Palace was exceptional. Horses at Jerez was lovely...bus journey went well. Bus station is actually really attractive. The private house called Casa del Pilatos was wonderful with stunning gardens. We walked around the streets a lot and saw some interesting sights. Queue for the bull ring was a tad too long. Seville was very clean indeed. The Flamenco is a must- went to the one near our hotel and it was superb. Shopping is great fun especially the fashion and the Spanish 'look'. Some quality goods for sale. Saw a religious procession with a band which was fun to see. The only thing we didn't like was an absolutely awful group of ' beggars' masquerading as entertainers who seemed to be everywhere we went. Worst street entertainers ever! The cafes seem to put up with them but it gave Seville a bad name in our view. They were aggressive when you refused to give them cash! Food was pretty good everywhere. But we did have one bad meal which was our most expensive one Steaks at El Passage. Avoid!

The main attractions are all within walking distance of each other so it was easy to get around.Lots of beautiful gardens which is unusual for Spanish cities.Lots of plants from different parts of the world. We had a great tour guide called Valentino who brought the history of the city alive. Most of the centre was pedestrian only so you did not have to worry about cars and their noise. Lots of different cafe and restaurants catering to all budgets also some unusual ones.

This is a great hotel with very nice and helpful staff. The hotel is very close to the Plaza de Armas station with links to other cities in Spain and Portugal. It's very convenient, you just need to cross the street. The breakfast was exceptional and presented very nicely. During our stay, it was very hot outside, and there was always lemon water at the reception for the guests, you could drink it and cool off at once. If we come back to Seville again, we will definitely stay here.

What a fantastic old little boutique hotel, fantastically located in the best part of the old town. Easy walk to everywhere. We parked our car and didn't touch it for 3 days! Be prepared to taxi or walk with wheelie bags to hotel, stopping nearby is tricky but that's the price of its glorious location. We had an elderly relative with us and best of all it has an elevator and a fabulous roof terrace. Staff were lovely and always willing to help us.

I didn’t receive the code or apartment number in time, a stranger called the phone number I had as the roaming I had on my phone would not work in Spain! A stranger used her phone and spoke Spanish to someone who gave the number of the apartment, when we got there the cleaner who was running late let us leave out bags and told us the key code to the box for when we returned.

Really nice hotel in the heart of the Old Town of Seville, close to everything. The rooms are big enough and clean, and there also is a rooftop pool. Breakfast is also varied, although I would have preferred some more veggies, but that's a personal preference, not a drawback of any kind. However, the biggest asset of the hotel is the staff, which is always there to help.

The "queensize" bed was actually 2 twin beds pushed together. The location was great, but Seville's streets are narrow, and Spaniards never seem to sleep, so the abundant noise down there was amplified up here. But that's not the Hostal's fault: it's like that everywhere in Spain.
