Nicely decorated and the rooms are upstairs.
Although we felt bad bumping in in their living area, there was much space upstairs for us guests and even a lounge area in front of the room.
The private bathroom in the assigned room was modern, clean and well equipped.

One of my favorite villages in France!
One of my favorite villages in France! Easily walkable and gorgeous views. Great restaurants and street vendors, beautiful architecture, & friendly locals. Highly recommend burgers, tarte flambée, and drinks at Le Grognard. We also enjoyed a tasting at Dopff Winery.

A beautiful little town, very quaint and charming.
A beautiful little town, very quaint and charming. Numerous shops selling local products, including ceramics, glassware, textiles, food specialities, and of course wine. Good selection of restaurants in a range of price categories, from simple snacks and meals to Michelin-star fine dining. Lovely walking trails through the surrounding vineyards. A good base from which to explore neighboring villages, such as Ribeauville'.

A beautiful and cosy little town - quite a relief after the crowds and tourist stress in Colmar. On the other hand - for us was one day enough, or you should use Riquewihr as base to travel also to other towns in the region.

We were in Riquewihr for La Parade Venetienne (for the 3rd time). We had 2 diners : Au Cerf and La Grappe D'Or. The last one is to be commended.
Getting around in Riquewihr is easy because it is so compact and the different interesting sites are close to each other.

Riquewihr is stunning, if medieval buildings and cobbled streets, set on a fairly steep incline, are your thing. There are no supermarkets or places to buy tobacco products in the town, so a car is essential for those self-catering.
I wouldn't recommend for those with mobility problems, unless you have access to somewhere to keep the scooter, nor is it ideal for young kids or teenagers. Nearby Ribeavillé probably better. But if beautiful scenery, history & excellent food are what you want, go for it!.*
(*The butterfly garden on the road to Ribeauvillé (10 mins in the car) is well worth the €9 entrance fee.)
If you're feeling flush ( it is really pretty pricey!), but can't manage a trip to Kyoto, I can't recommend Au Trotthus highly enough. The Wagyu tasting menu was breathtaking, the setting gorgeous, the staff lovely, and the chef took time to come and speak to his patrons in a very informal, friendly way, explaining the dishes and his passion for all things Japanese. Also, you can dress to the 9s to eat there, but you don't HAVE to. Be comfortable!
Will we be back? In a heartbeat.
I stayed in this hotel many years ago, and there have been many improvements - indoor pool, spa, sauna, and a complete renovation of the restaurant and bar. We had a superior triple room, for two of us, and plenty of room to move around. Buffet breakfast was in accordance with Covid guidelines: we had our own serving tongs, fruits and yoghourts were in individual pots, tables were well separated, and everyone had to wear a mask when moving around. Also, there were bottles of antiseptic gel all over the place.
Lovely old building with half-timbered walls and a tall turreted tower. Beautiful room at the top of an ancient stone spiral staircase, with views across the rooftops to the surrounding vines. Spacious very modern bathroom. Good easy inexpensive hotel carpark right next to the entrance. Very central. Excellent directions. Riquewihr must be one of the most outrageously pretty French villages ever. Alsatian wine is extremely good and excellent value; try Riesling, Gewurtz, Pinot Gris, and the Cremantes d'Alsace.
Fantastic location for visiting Riquewihr with ample free parking on site which was a massive plus for us. Hosts are very friendly and helpful and speak several languages. Breakfast is plentiful, especially if you like cheese, and the bread is the best we’ve had in France. Bed is large and very comfy, en-suite bathroom also spacious. There is an honesty fridge in the kitchen with beer, fizzy drinks etc and also a small fridge in the room too which is handy.
Location location location. Short crawl in the morning to the bakery for the freshest croissants and coffee, in the afternoon to the many tasting rooms and shops in the main street, and in the evening to the restaurants, but far enough to be quiet and relaxing. In addition to 3 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and living room there is also a garage to park your car and a terrace to relax with the just purchased bottle of wine.
Very nice and authentic hotel in centre of the village. Not accessible by car (although the hotel has limited payed parking). However in the morning you can pickup your luggage before 10 hrs. Kind staff. We had a renovated room on the 2nd floor of the annex. Very comfortable compact room with all you need. Breakfast at extra costs.
Located in a quiet neighborhood very close to the center of Riquewihr (5 min walk). Free parking on premises. Room was clean, good mattress, and good shower. Breakfast was standard fair-croissants, good bread, cheese, coffee, jams, juice, etc. The owner was very nice and had suggestions where to eat and sample wine.
The apartment is spacious, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The owner was also very easy to reach and quick to answer our questions. The location of the apartment is good, right in Riquewihr village. Beds were comfortable and despite the lack of airco it was quite a good temperature in the house.
We had a great time there. before arrival I made requests and modified the booking as well, the team always answered me with kindness and we felt welcomed at all times. We tried out the wellness area, our daughter loved the pool. We will definitely book this hotel if we come back to Riquewihr.
This is an old-fashioned style of hotel in a good way. The room was well equipped and comfortable. When booking, the staff member was very helpful in providing a room very convenient for my husband, who has limited mobility. The breakfast was good.
The Host is really so nice and speedy when come to any questions, do not worry about if he is France, Booking chat system translate for you. You feel home to stay in Timber Frame apartment, you have all what you need for cook, for coffee,
This was a charming place to stay in a beautiful medieval walled city. We used it as a base to explore other nearby towns. The parking is in a lot just across the street from the walled city, and it was just a short walk to the hotel.
The accomodation was pleasant and the breakfast, bountiful! The cheery owner, who didn't speak English, went out of her way to welcome us. The room was spacious with a nice bathroom.
