Jardin Massey is beautiful, museum of the Hussards attached. The markets are still large, lively and varied. Concerts and themed weeks such as Tango or horse festivals makes it an interesting destination. There are parts of Tarbes more attractive than others so plan your trip!

The garden is quite extraordinary...
The garden is quite extraordinary... In contrast with a very bleak city. Good only because it's quite close to some interesting spots in the mountains and far enugh to avoid premium touristic fares. We found an awesome small restaurant though (and I'm french myself from the countryside - I actually know what genuinely good food is like!). No longer have its name sorry.GillesIreland

Although in the middle of town, it is quiet and relaxing (and has parking). They have the right balance of pristine 21st century facilities, with immaculate bathrooms. The staff are helpful and informative. It is a delightful place to stay for a few days. Classic continental breakfast available.

Wellcoming staff and good placement for the car. I was allowed to keep the car a bit longer in the parking after leaving the room, which I appreciated.
