The house was stunning and all the little details / touches were lovely. There was everything you would need. Very tidy and having a tv with Netflix in each bedroom was super handy. Host was very helpful with details on how to find the property prior to our stay. We had a great time staying here and would definitely stay again.

Still has a quaint old Yorkshire feel to it, but it seems to be losing the battle against bargain shops and smelly take-aways. Easy to negotiate with good transport links via the train and bus station. Best place to visit is The West Riding Refreshment Rooms - which is a real ale pub on the station with live music out the back....good pizzas too.

When I asked a local how to spend time in Dewsbury, I was told to best get the next train to Manchester. Once a wealthy industrial town, it is run down today without much to do and lots of boarded up storefronts. In terms of historical value, the minster church going back to the Saxon period is worth a visit.

I had chosen to stay in Dewsbury as a change in venue from previous trips. I had been unable to visit a couple of places on an earlier trip to West Yorkshire.
Dewsbury does have some lovely architecture, but it's a little run down. I couldn't get into the Minster and the canal basin was quite disappointing.
Dewsbury is only a few minutes from Leeds (by train) and from there so much of Yorkshire is available. I chose to head back to Wakefield in order to get to The Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The following day I went to Saltaire which is definately worth a visit!

Dewsbury is a ghost town and in a very poor state.
Dewsbury is a ghost town and in a very poor state. Shops are empty and the town has been deserted by locals, who shop elsewhere. With limited parking it is not worth the effort. Restaurant’s were also limited and not inviting.
We did not find a public house, that served food either in town or Earlsheaton,

Dewsbury is not my ideal place but I return for work reasons. The Wellington Tavern is the highlight provided you want straight forward accommodation and hospitality. There are a number of mainly Asian take-a-ways in the centre of town . There are very good transport links with frequent train links to Leeds, Huddersfield and Manchester.

I was there for business.
I was there for business.
Dewsbury itself is safe, although the street's are deserted after 9pm
It is quite bustling in the daytime with the old market stalls still running, although that looks like its on the decline now, as they are high-street brand shops
There is a fairly good choice of takeaway food especially if you like Karahi food or Lebanese.
I had some great Chinese food as well
And the new Emoji burger place is brand new modern and really good food
There was nothing to like it was not as advertised,it was dirty, smelly noisy and I would not go back if I was paid to , myself and my husband where booked I for three nights but my husband is desabled and he got flea bites all over his legs we couldn't take any more, after 2 nights we booked in to a Travelodge at extra costs to ourselfs, but no one should stay at the wellington B&B in Dewsbury.
The location is good, as Dewsbury isn't that big. Checking in was fine, in fact one girl remembered me from 6 months ago - which I find incredible considering how many guests must have passed through. Although the room wasn't exactly quiet it wasn't loud at all considering yuo're above a pub!
It's great value for money in all aspects and I will continue to stay there as and when necessary.
Really loved the size and space of the house and where it was. Comfortable and clean living areas and bedrooms. Was really spacious and good amount of bathrooms/toilets so wasn’t an issue for the amount of people staying. It’s also really close to dewsbury where you can easily get the train into Leeds for a small cost.
Nice spacious apartment in central Dewsbury around 5 minutes walk from the train station. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable for a short stay. The smart TV is a nice touch. There are also a couple nice shops, restaurants and pubs nearby.
Very central location and we had no problem parking in front of the hotel each of the 3 nights we stayed there.
Room 6 was quite roomy - had a double, single bed and couch.
Large TV
Great shower
Full English breakfast
Friendly staff
Stayed 2 nights for my sisters wedding as this hotel was walking distance to the venue. Hotel room was clean and tidy. Included breakfast was very good. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Lovely cosy charming hotel just outside Dewsbury, Friendly staff and reasonable priced breakfast that is a rarity this day.
Would I be back? Definitively Yes
