Breakfast was very good with a great selection, if a bit on the pricey side. Bathroom was roomy and well equipped and the bed was comfortable. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We also liked the guide books provided in the room, which had a fun but informative style.

A very warm welcome from lovely staff, thoughtful touches (hot water bottle after your swim?) beautiful and interesting things everywhere you look, comfy beds.
Great location just by the tidal pool and an excellent buffet breakfast. We loved that our triple was 2 adjoining rooms. We can't wait to come back.

We did not have breakfast as we are not really breakfast eaters. The location was in an excellent spot - only a 10 minute walk from the beach and amusements and restaurants etc.

The property was really awesome. It’s so spacious and I really like the arcade machine game consoles that were there. We really enjoyed it. Another things is the sunset view that we’ve witness in the master’s bedroom. And of course, the jacuzzi *chef’s kiss* perfect!!! We would definitely come back!!

Was nice to reminisce over a previous stay years ago.
Was nice to reminisce over a previous stay years ago.
Margate like many other coastal towns suffers from a lack of investment and some of the oldest and most interesting properties are closed and boarded up.

Haven't visited Margete in over 20 years and was pleasantly surprised. The beach was lovely and sandy, with an actual sauna on the beach and some activities for kids, was nice to watch the yachts sailing around the little harbour, plenty of amusement arcades Nice little market in the old town, mainly craft/clothing items. Plenty of good places to eat/drink. Pete's fish and chips was lovely. Also ate at The Sundowners (LGBT) bar (which has a terrace overlooking the sea) and food was lovely there too! Margate is bustling with life and great for a day out or longer if you fancy!!

Didn’t like Margate as much as Ramsgate not many pubs there, the only decent place is the mechanical elephant other places were expensive bars which were not my scene no karaoke venues like Ramsgate, just like Guildford the rodboro buildings in the centre and very few pubs in a big town which are all spread out of the town instead of being in the centre, it’s one of those towns with more tea places and diners and less pubs in the towns, can’t beat my number one town Reading in Friar street.

Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays.
Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays. I visited the Turner gallery, shell grotto, crab museum. I didn't have time to see the caves. Great sunsets. Loads of places to eat. I would highly recommend the Bull's Head for Sunday lunch. Best roasties ever! The Olimpia Bakery does coffee and amazing cakes.

I loved the fact that Seaview was in the old town of Margate, directly opposite Turner Contemporary and beautiful beach. Useful information folder, recommending everything from places to eat drink, visit etc. Loads of free street parking, regular buses to surrounding areas. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, be that in restaurants, shops or the bus drivers. A wonderful experience!
I had a blissful 2-night stay at The Bay Guesthouse on a business trip. The guesthouse owners Steve & Hannah are lovely, extremely hospitable and made one feel at home.
My room was gorgeous, with a great sea view, clean and the most comfortable & cosy bed. The place is very close to all of Margate's attractions and local amenities and the train station is only about a 15-minute walk away. I highly recommend this place and will be staying again.
The location of this property is excellent with fabulous views of the beach. The apartment was very clean and well equipped and had everything we needed. We were able to get the keys for one of the apartments from the lock box which was had the code to. The other code was obtained from the restaurant next door which was easy. We highly recommend and will stay again. Margate is a nice town and this apartment was in a great position.
There were several nice personal touches such as the fresh milk and water in the fridge, and a stick of Margate rock on the bed.
The apartment is compact but perfectly adequate for what I needed. The seaside themed decor made me feel like I was on holiday (even though I wasn't).
Kitchen was really well equipped. Bed was comfy and I had a great night's sleep which is unusual for me when I am away from home for work.
The rooms was exceptionally clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a really nice sleep.
Breakfast was amazing! There was a little garden behind the breakfast room and it was lovely!
Morag, the host, was very welcoming and helpful. It mad me felt like home. I’d say staying at the Rosslyn court was the best memories in Margate!
Totally recommend this place and will definitely visit again !
Unexpected Prosecco on check in was a very welcome surprise! Staff were excellent, bedroom & bathroom very clean & good facilities. Late night bar very welcome upon our return from the restaurant with a lovely covered area in the courtyard. The breakfast was extremely good & certainly couldn't complain about the portion size! All in all a great hotel for a break to Margate.
Comfortable room, great host and yummy breakfast. The location is ideal because it's quiet yet only 10/15mins walk from main Margate via a route either by the road or along the seafront. We had a very enjoyable time and I always appreciate staying at an accomodation where the host makes the effort to ensure you have the best trip possible - thanks Jim!
Lovely stay at the Sherwood, didn't book a sea view however the room was nice, clean and quite spacious. Enjoyed a good breakfast. It was a only a few minutes walk to the main areas in Margate but obviously on the main sea front road. I would certainly recommend this hotel if you were staying in Margate for a couple of days.
Fab location, sea view rooms available. The grouting in the shower needed attention in my room but my friends room was perfect. A little more attention to detail and I would have given this Hotel an excellent rating. Overall a good hotel that I would recommend. The glass of Prosecco on arrival is a nice touch 😉
The Walpole Bay Hotel has a lovely traditional, oldie-worldly atmosphere about it, a refreshing change from the “could be anywhere” style of modern hotel chains. The staff are delightful, the location is great, and they provide an outstanding “worth the stay on its own” breakfast.
Great decor, good facilities, everything you need for a break, well lit throughout. Nicely furnished and beds were very comfortable. Lots of space. Decent smart tv which the kids loved. Close access to local beach and Margate sands is a short walk away.
Staff were very polite as you entered they helped me with my bags as I had a room upstairs. For a budget hotel it was clean, tidy and I can say I've been there twice now and I will be going bk there every time I visit margate
A wonderful host! Great flat and being right ontop of Walpole bay for a quick dip was amazing! Let alone the convenient stroll along the front to central Margate.
Bumping into a Beach boy at the bar just topped it off.
Extremely quirky hotel. Literally loved all the decor, staff really friendly and bar and garden had a great vibe. 15 minute walk from the main Margate centre. Really enjoyed my stay, would sty again.
superbly decorated and finished , everything you need for a short break !!!! decent furnishings , very clean and fresh ….. a great price . would pick this over any hotel Margate has to offer !!!!!!
The hotel was in a great and central location in Margate. The room was comfortable and stylish and there was a lovely courtyard to sit out in. The host Paul was very welcoming too.
The hotel is near to Margate and very near to a beach. My room had everything that I needed and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. A good place to visit Margate.
Room and bathroom were spacious. The hotel is about 15 mins walk from central Margate but there is a good bus service that stops just outside. Easy to check in/out.
Great location, beautiful property with large garden, outdoor grill a bonus. Owner was great, very communicative, and everything was easy. Great stay in Margate.
Great location.
If you love original features/vintage then this is the hotel for you.
I think this hotel has bags of charm.
Great breakfast, friendly staff.
