Fantastic building, easy parking, super comfy beds, dinner and breakfast were amazing and the bar/dining areas have a lovely characterful feel to them. A nice touch to have Classic FM playing quietly on the radio when you get to your room! ;) Stayed twice and will definitely be back again.

Once inside, reception is next to a bar and lounge area which is modern and welcoming. The corridors have recently been refurbished. The room itself has all the usual facilities and was clean and modern. The large windows looked out onto a dual carriage way, but there was no traffic noise and the blackout curtains meant we got an excellent sleep. The bed was very comfortable. A 5 minute walk brings you to the centre of the town with a wealth of shops bars and eating places.

Peterborough came across as poor and unloved.
I walked through the centre of town on a Wednesday night around 10:30 and did not feel safe - not normally affected like this.
There are groups of homeless people around the town, not necessarily bothering people but they need support and shouldn’t be left to roam the streets. Far more homeless here than anywhere I visited recently.
This was a work visit, I would not visit for pleasure

Peterborough not the best city in the world, but a few shops to mooch about it, and plenty of places to eat and drink. Mum and I took a trip to the cinema. Was nice. This hotel IS NOT in the town centre. Its a little drive. But that is what we wanted.

Cathedral area well worth a visit.
Nene Park area lovely with good flat walking and nice refreshments available. Excellent pitch n putt course.
Nene valley railway station at Peterborough worth a visit to eco garden area.
Plus train trips.
Flag fen on outskirts is definitely worth a look, really interesting and a nice walk too.
Like all cities there are some less charming areas! But some good cafes in town, Gossip good coffee and Fratellis in Rivergate for coffee and breakfast. Oh and East on the river for Asian fusion food and to sit in a boat!

There is a excellent centre that has a good variety of restaurants, shops and corner little shops. Named chains and independent retailers. There is also historical aspects if you want to know more about Peterborough's history. There are reasonable priced car parking places. If not wanting to drive the coach and train stations are very local if you want to leave the car at home!.
Lovely boutique type hotel in a good location for walking into Peterborough plus access to the Nene Valley Railway where we had a booking. Jolene, the receptionist was very helpful and we had a great meal in the Tavan Moroccan/Turkish restaurant adjoining the hotel. Staff there were efficient and friendly.
Parking was good. Breakfast (brought to your room) was beautifully displayed and tasty. All in all a very good stay. Our room was upgraded and was comfortable and spacious. I do not know what other rooms are like.
Surprisingly for a chain hotel and Peterborough, this hotel has staff that always acknowledge guests, spot if you're looking for something and, obviously want to do a good job. The manager clearly gets in amongst the action and leads by example. The room was well maintained and the broken window catch we reported was mended within a few hours of it being reported. Breakfast buffet was really good and well stocked.
Easy check in., there was actually a friendly receptionist. on site parking. The hotel restaurant clsoed at 8 but it was a short walk to the River nene where there was an open air pizzeria and bars. very nice outdoors on a hot night. The hotel is fiveminutes walk from Peterborough United Football ground so thats a plus for visiting fans. Breakfast (extra payment) a good buffet. Lounge was airconditioned
Staff at the Ramblewood are great! It has a traditional pub feel and its great to see that, post covid, the menu is returning to what it used to be. For over 5yrs this has been my preferred hotel in Peterborough when I can get it within the company budget. I love running around Ferry Meadows just over a mile away and its only a couple of miles the way into the city centre.
The Hotel is well situated on the outskirts of Peterborough and not too difficult to find. Ample Parking. The rooms are of the 'standard' size and design with all the facilities you would expect - the bed is comfortable and the shower is exceptional.
I was there with friends and we kinda took over the restaurant for the evening as it was our Christmas Function
Very friendly staff, since I do not like living on the upper floors, and the administrator very quickly solved this problem: she changed my room to a lower floor.
Very comfortable mattress, I slept well. The very center of the city, near the train station, restaurants and much more. The price is three times lower than the same hotels in this area.
The price was great for 1 nights stay. The hotel was very quiet - only 2 people sat having breakfast. The Car Park was of an average size (We arrived at 9am and they were happy for me to leave the car whilst in London and check in later). Location to City Centre is great only a (15min) walk and Peterborough Utd Ground (2min) walk.
They let a stalker come to my room and also gave him my room keys cause he could say my name.I am lucky the key didnt work if not i could have been dead or I could have been hurt people beware this hotel isn't safe.Peterborough clos etc Shell fuelling station
The staff were superb. Special mention must go to Ollie who served us so well during our stay. He continuously went above and beyond in his customer service. A great employee who is a credit to the hotel.
This was a brilliant place to stay near to Peterborough city centre. The kitchenette was really useful. All was clean and bed comfortable. Would fully recommend. Even had a TESCO express across the road.
Lovely spacious room, tastefully decorated, elegant and refined. From check in to check out all staff we encountered were exceptionally gracious. We really enjoyed the old fashioned grand hotel ambiance.
Breakfast was a bit chaotic, but with Covid, it was expected, bar service ended abruptly, we arrive back at the hotel about 11:30 order drinks when they arrived told that the bar was now closing.....
Great hotel/coaching inn in the centre of Peterborough. Good sized car park to the rear. Has a bar. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Its not the cheapest but quite a nice place
The staff were brilliant and the room was lovely , we ate in the restaurant and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Would recommend this hotel as a really great place to stay.
