Offering garden views, Túnfífill Guesthouse - free hot tub and sauna, cozy and quiet in Hvammstangi provides accommodations, a garden, barbecue facilities, and a shared lounge.

We were met by the lovely host Pálína. Who showed us around and made us feel welcome and at home. She patiently answered the many questions my eight year old had. He was fascinated with all the rocks and books and was happy to have toys and games to play with. All the hotels and places we stayed at in Iceland were clean but this was the cleanest place we stayed at, with so much attention to details. We used the kitchen to prepare some sandwiches. There was one other party of 3 there and it was totally fine. Didn’t use the hot tub and sauna as we had spent the day earlier in a pool, but other party did and said it was good.

We only stayed a night, arriving in a blizzard. It was absolutely stunning, the hot tub and sauna in the snow were simply breath-taking. We didn't even get a chance to check out Hvammstangi, unfortunately, but next time I will definitely stay here again!

We loved everything: the cottage, the view, the nice short talk with the owner, the aurora on our second evening! The main restaurant at the village near the cottage is pricy but very good: save for it if needed, it is worth it (and needed as there is no kitchen in the cottage 😉). The water could be ice cold at first, be patient, it will soon be (very) warm. Talk to the owner before your stay, it will explain the reason better than me! One last point: the owner talked about a path to go to the shore of the fjord, but we didn't found it. Make sure he explain it to you clearly.

We stayed here for one night.

We stayed here for one night. We where a little concerned considering the remote area of the country. The owner greeted us very kindly and made us feel like at home. Once you step in you can feel the love she has put in to this place. I was really happy on how clean the house is. The bed limens where so clean and ironed. ♥️ the backyard was adorable. She had waffles for us and a home made jelly made. ♥️

Just a short walk out of town but far enough to be quiet and private. Guesthouse was a wonderful surprise. Modern, clean and a very well equipped kitchen for guests. Host even threw a pot of coffee on in the morning. Full fjord view from our bedroom. Turned out to be one of our best overnights in Iceland.

If you are driving around Iceland on the ring road like we were, this location is a must. We were booking every other day our next stay (which can be a little exhausting after a few days) but once we were settled in here, we immediately booked another night. EVERYTHING is perfect: the beds are extremely comfy, everything is very clean, it feels like your own beautiful house with all the things Palina and Hördur thought about and there is a sauna, fireplace and a hot tub - what do you need more? I am a huge fan and can highly recommend it!

Privately owned house in the middle of Icelandic nature. The host was very welcoming and showed us around his house. There is a big and well equipped kitchen which we could use and a living room/play area for kids. The place was very quiet and clean. The highlight of the stay was the two wild arctic fox pups, living on the farm area, which came out when you whistled and ran around your feet.

The room was well-designed and comfortable. The decor was old-style and provided us with a perfect Icelandic homestay. One of the unique aspects is the personalized atmosphere it provides. Since it's a homestay, it was very calm, and felt like we were at our own home. The next time I visit Iceland, I will definitely stay at this place again.

The cottages are exactly as new, comfortable, and beautiful as the photos. Very well designed. Almost everything you’d need is provided. And the views out every window are gorgeous. Fields, rolling hills, the fjord in the distance, and Icelandic horses prancing around in the field next door.

Private home, very cozy. Host was exceptional. Let us do laundry overnight and made us an incredible homemade breakfast with baked bread. Nice shower. Rooms were individual bedrooms in house. Had a nice outdoor patio area to hang out with hot tub and sauna. Got a taste of Iceland at this home.

This guest house is a gem. A sweeping view of the fiord, a tiny picturesque church and graveyard nearby, and lovely vintage Icelandic furniture, dishes, and decorative touches. Scrupulously clean and tidy with a well-appointed kitchen. I wish I had booked more than one night

A bit off of the beaten path and unconventional looking for a hotel, this newly re-opened hotel turned out to be a quaint and cozy place. The beds were super comfy and the rooms were very clean. Breakfast was great, too! I'd definitely stay there again!

The guesthouse is managed by a team of young and nice guys. The guesthouse was an old school so it has wide spaces, nice break area with a pool. Ideal place for people who like to stay in the middle of nowhere. Shared toilets and showers are clean.

This guesthouse didn't look like much from the outside, but the location is perfect - close to Hvítserkur - which was why we booked it. Had nice rooms, looked like recently renovated bathroom, and a large kitchen. And was easy to find the place.
