Nairobi offers an exciting blend of adventure, culture, and urban charm. The city is a gateway to thrilling wildlife experiences, with the Nairobi National Park providing a rare opportunity to see, giraffes, and rhinos against a backdrop of skyscrapers. The Giraffe Centre allow for intimate encounters with giraffes. Nairobi's rich cultural heritage is showcased in attractions like the Karen Blixen Museum and the Nairobi National Museum. The bustling Maasai Market is perfect for shopping for local crafts and souvenirs. Culinary delights abound, from street food stalls to high-end restaurants offering both local and international cuisine. Despite its busy urban environment, Nairobi has serene spots like the Karura Forest for nature walks and picnics but was flooded during my visit. The city's vibrant nightlife, friendly locals, and mix of traditional and modern experiences make Nairobi a captivating destination for any traveler. Be extra cautious of your safety and belongings while travelling, lurking danger of thefts always.

Buzzing city with a lot of restaurants, bars and social places. Easy modes of transport. Highway has made it wonderful to go from airport to town and vice versa. Lots of greenery and access to game lodges and parks. Lots of high rise buildings too which is not so nice.

loved Nairobi elephant orphanage and giraffe Centre a must - we also saw Bomas of Kenya and some museums. Also visited a tea farm which was a great relaxing day. Restaurants we visited were very nice. People very friendly - easiest way to get around is make sure you have uber app although be careful of them trying to hike price up when they realize you are tourists. Try not to arrange visits for peak travel time as roads are extreamly busy and can be scary. Also if there it is an absolute must to book safari.

I like that there are small privately owned shops and street hawkers. I prefer shopping at individual stalls as opposed to a department store. The food at The Olive Restaurant is a good value. I'd love to look around Simlaw Seeds; I used to have a farm and will return to farming.

Loved Nairobi!!!
Loved Nairobi!!! Do not let people freak you out with the security... No problems whatsoever (not more at least than any western countries to say the least). Do not spend your time in shopping centers, imerge yourself meet Kenyans and go around!! Uber are super safe.. Go for it
Well, even before I arrived the staff was great, They were the last hotel on my itinerary but graciously stored my luggage for the 10 days I was in Kenya, making my whole transit to different cities within the country so much easier with only a carryon. The staff is very friendly and focused in serving you. The room was spacious, clean and perfect for me. The fiery African sunrises observed from the comfort of my bet at 6am were memorable. It was a great location, just 10 minutes from the airport. Food was delicious, chefs are great.
This is the best place I’ve stayed at in Nairobi (and I have stayed at A LOT of places). Everything was great!! The place was stylish, huge, and tastefully decorated. Location was great because of the vicinity to convenience stores and groceries and not in the heart of Westlands (which is too busy and bustling). Love the additional touches, like a hair dryer and detergent, and some adapters. WiFi was also super fast and the building had good amenities. Really great value for money and more generally, an amazing place to stay!
Everything. It was affordable, the bed was clean and comfortable to sleep in, and the bathroom had proper cold shower. I actually stayed on my first 2 nights in Nairobi, before I travelled to other cities across Kenya and Tanzania. And when I came back to Nairobi to spend my remaining 3 days there before leaving Kenya for good, I booked the hotel again because of my overall positive experience there. It's also in the centre of downtown Nairobi so finding transport and food was easy.
new small hotel on Waikiki way not far from the Sarit mall. Also close to other fabulous restaurants in Westlands. Small hotel with exceptionally comfy rooms and bathrooms. i was surprisingly impressed and i hope they maintain the standards. great stay for a great price! its a new property so they are setting up the on site cafe etc...but if you are a business traveler and wont be spending much time at the hotel, its the perfect place with clean fresh rooms to spend the night.
I rarely write reviews as I spend a lot of time in business hotels BUT Best Western Westlands stands out from every other business hotel I stay in for one reason - the most accommodating and helpful staff ever! Nothing is ever too much trouble and each and every staff member goes out of their way to make sure that your stay is perfect. For me there is no other option in Nairobi, this is the best hotel by far for business or leisure travel and value for money. Thank You
We enjoyed the Eagle Grill Bar. If you're flying out, this is a fab place to enjoy a last Tusker or 3! We stayed here on our way out of Kenya and preferred it to the very noisy bigger sister, Emara Ole Sereni we stayed in on the way into Kenya. Although the sister property is posher and more modern, this is a sweet, cheaper alternative and you'll get a better nights sleep to boot!
Staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Heaps of character, for an airport hotel.
Terry - recepcionist - very helpful, focused on client's support
breakfast/restaurant - typical for this region of Africa with added option
flexibility of check-in and check-out
the hotel is secured and has own electricity generator
Kilimani is relatively safe part of Nairobi; the neighborhood is OK (many safe shops/restaurants)
in category budget/middle - the one of the best option in Nairobi
wifi - works fine!
room and hotel cleanliness - OK!
Friendly staff - much appreciated. Proximity to Jomo Kenyatta Airport and transport provided was key to my staying here. The apartment has everything a traveller could need. Knowing Nairobi, it would seem a little pricey and out of the way for a city stay but for an airport layover or business in the south eastern suburbs this is excellent and puts the excessively expensive global brand hotels at the airport to shame
First off, the positives. The majority of the staff at this hotel are extremely nice. I enjoyed chatting with the security guards, the chefs and the receptionists. They were all very friendly, polite and accommodating. The property is very clean throughout and there are amazing views from the balconies.
The location of the hotel is also quite good. It's close to CBD and Karura Forest.
Not in the center of the town, but very good located in Westlands (Sarit Center), very peaceful, one has her/his privacy, a distanced politeness of the people in the office, stunning view overlooking the City of Nairobi, spacy rooms, a complete kitchen.
The place is very cosy, comfortable, serene and highly secure. Its the best location to reside in Nairobi. Its about 10 minutes drive to the CBD. The host was very kind and available 24/7 for any inquiries or assistance. The services are a 10/10.
It is a gorgeous, modern and stylish hotel near JKIA Nairobi’s Int’l airport. What a breath of fresh air to a dismal scene of boring chain hotels with no vibes. This new one has tons.
The staff are well-trained and professional.
Beautiful home, location is good not totally in the city but not to far to take Uber. Shopping across the street is always the best options and great bakery where we were daily. Will be back if we visit Nairobi.
I just needed a night in Nairobi before an early flight next day and that was perfect. In particular I loved the breakfast and connection with the Fairview hotel best door which allows to enjoy other facilities.
Great location in Westlands perfect for local restaurants and bars. Lovely friendly staff and a huge clean room with water each day. The hotel felt really safe and I would visit again when returning to Nairobi.
Amazing scenery, quiet and far from the city. The chalet rooms looks so pretty that is not typical fancy hotel but otherwise cozy, African style accommodation. Staff are all friendly and accommodating
Excellent for long stays, great location for the CBD, cleaned very well, good shower (rare in Kenya), very safe. Gym and roof terrace are a real highlight.
