Liepaja is a "hidden gem" of Latvia! It has a wonderful, relaxed vibe. Food everywhere was delicious and fresh. The people seemed much friendlier than Riga. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and a perfect spot to spend a few days. There are also plenty of nature excursions to do in the area.VickieLatvia - 10Scored 10

My favourite places: market, beach, before beach is excellent walking parks, good restaurants and a lot more things to do. We didn't enjoy the roadworks. A lot roads are closed, a lot traffic jams. We recommend to visit Liepaja City!!!

I liked the free spirit of the inhabitants which contributed essentially to the development of the city today. I love the warmth in the eyes of the people I've interacted with and those I've met on the street and crossed our eyes. I like the mix of cultures living together. I love the contrast between old and new that can be seen in the constructions. The quiet nice city seems like time is stopped here. All large sports buildings are on the beach. At the same time parking on narrow streets. Seems like the city government planning all-new sports facilities for the beach but parking is not solved. Poor local people who are living there.... It is crowdy and all the narrow streets are fully parked. To go to the beach you need to go early morning or a few kilometers away. No parking slots or buildings in this city.SvetlanaEstonia

Really great touch with all the authentic historic details.

It’s around a five minute walk to the centre and fifteen minutes to the seaside park and beach. It was very comfortable and cosy and very quiet at night. I felt safe in the area. There was Netflix available on the tv and a dolce gusto coffee machine! Probably the best thing about this apartment is the standalone bath!!! I felt like I was at a 5 star hotel!

Murat is the most welcoming host, he explained us how to get to Riga avoiding road traffic, where to have dinner and how to find a local beauty salon. The owners have provided the common areas with a lot of helpful instructions. The design and setting of the hotel has a modern, innovative approach. The room was of two parts, compact sleeping area and small anteroom with extra chest of drawers, a bed, a table with 2 chairs and TV set. We did not meet staff, as it's self check-in hotel, but I spoke with them over the phone and they were quite friendly.
