My husband and I are very well traveled (58 countries) and have stayed at 9 different Selinas now. We've stayed at everything from overwater bungalows in the Maldives, Ritz Carlton in Abu Dhabi, and now, 9 different Selinas in Central and South America. We always stay in a private room at Selina hotels and booked the suite this stay. Super spacious and clean. There are TONS of bathrooms too so we felt like we could have also booked the micro rooms with shared bathroom, but we got a good deal on the suite during black friday sales.
We will always keep coming back to Selina chains because we love the vibes. They're always well decorated, offer amazing well-priced tours, have super friendly staff, and just attract the right crowd of like minded travelers. Breakfast was free for us due to being Booking Genius/Level 3 members and it was fantastic. On site bar/restaurant too to get snacks and drinks if you wanted a munchie late at night. It's right across from a locals market where they sell the cutest hand made pottery and trinkets for a very low price. Tons of restaurants to walk to as well.

Typical breakfast daily . Wish they would have more of a variety . Limited as to how much you can get. Small portions and when my child went back for seconds she was told that there were other guests that had to eat.

This lovely little hotel is in a good location less than a 10-minute walk to the main square and bus station. The young couple who own it are very professional and hospitable. She is Nicaraguan and he is Korean and English. Both speak excellent English (He grew up in England). There is a shared kitchen, and an included breakfast, which was tasty.
My room was medium size with a closet, lots of hangers, and a full-length mirror. The ceiling is very tall, which gives the room a spacious feeling. The bed was comfortable, and the WiFi worked well. The bathroom is a bit dimly lit, but the shower felt wonderful. Several towels were provided. The hotel was quiet. I didn't hear my neighbors or any street noise.

We loved our stay at Adela. When we checked in, a gentleman assisted and he spoke english. From then on it was only the female staff present and they didn't speak english. But it was easy to communicate with the various means and the ladies were just lovely. Breakfast was brilliant, and very relaxing sitting in their beautiful garden. The room was big and comfy. Lighting could have been a little brighter in the room. Pool is a perfect size but needed a little cleaning. Location perfect, very close to Garden Cafe which is the best lunch spot.

I have never seen so many rude, contemptuous residents in most of the center city. They make Parisians look like a welcoming committee. They make a habit of fleecing tourists, both our hostel front desk and a food kiosk blatantly charged us more than they were supposed to and we witnessed atrocious behavior toward other tourists. Maybe 5% of the people we interacted with were friendly.
Service was comically bad in the restaurants we visited. They have plenty of tourists, but haven't learned much in the way of hospitality yet. Grocery stores are expensive with poor selections.
Arriving into Managua was not at all bad. And we are finding San Juan del Sur a joy, although this too is fairly pricey bc of all the American and Canadian tourists. Restaurant food was much higher quality and better value, service was great and everyone has been so very friendly.
So, really, all of our bad experiences were in Granada. I have no intention of returning and don't plan to recommend it to anyone. I hope to have a chance to see more of Managua before I leave.

Granada is a bustling city with nice people.
Granada is a bustling city with nice people. We like the fact that we were close to stores, markers, banks, parks etc..
What we did not like, is that there are no street signs, and since we were driving, we got lost a few times. Also, the beach was picturesque but unfortunately it was littered with garbage everywhere. It was very disappointing.

The churches and the restaurants.
The churches and the restaurants. There was a variety of restaurants and very reasonable prices. It was easy and inexpensive to get a cab home after dinner if we did not want to walk back to the hotel.
The friendliness and hospitality of the people was amazing.

It is an old city with a lot of old historic buildings. The infrastructure definitely needs upgrading. I have heard many good things about the beach area but I did not go to the beach. There are some sketchy areas at night time. So we did not leave on foot at night. if anyone had a reason to go to Granada I would definitely recommend the Hotel Jardin De Granada.

Great town, unique colonial history and architecture.
Great town, unique colonial history and architecture. Granada is on the huge lake and many interesting volcanic islands that you can visit. A great city for biking, black market and "ramba" walking/dining area behind the beautiful Cathedral. Warning: city square park is beautiful but very crowded esp w aggressive and nasty taxi drivers. Many language schools and American backpackers. Realtively cheap restaurants.
Room was very comfortable, balcony offered a great view of the Mombacho Volcano and the Granada sky. Has an excellent pool.
The breakfast was excellent and generous. The best I've ever had in Granada, and I've been there eight times now.
Hotel is just four/five blocks from historic downtown Granada and all that that offers. But that lends it a quiet at night that is very welcome.
Staff are attentive and helpful. Property is very secure, with an enclosed parking lot.
Can't say enough about this place. Highly recommended.
The breakfast was very tasty, hot and served right on time. The hotel is a gorgeous colonial-style mansion that is well preserved and beautifully decorated. The pool is a great addition because Granada can be very hot during the day, so it's perfect to cool off after walking around the city. I really appreciated the help from the two guys working at the reception - very attentive and accomodating.
This hotel in Granada is a hidden gem. It is a little bit off center but still within walking distance. They offer paid parking but we parked right in front on the street, no problem. Staff is very attentive, great service. 3 choices for breakfast, all very tasty and more than enough, coffee all day - what more do you need. The rooms are all quite spacious with a nice bathroom.
Exceptionally stylish, beautifully restored and maintained colonial hotel.
Hotel owner and manager, Yves, is the perfect host. Offered helpful advice on the city and region, and arranged specific trips that we wanted to do.
Breakfasts delightful and substantial.
Pool you can properly swim in.
A perfect stay - we have travelled a lot, and don’t say this easily.
I have traveled a lot and Hotel Jardin is without a doubt one of the best places I've stayed. Miguel and Marcia are superb hosts. They offered terrific recommendations and reservations were made on the spot. We would definitely return to Hotel Jardin on future travels to Granada.
My favorite thing was the amazing receptionist Noelia who went above and beyond and overall was a wonderful host and demystified everything in Granada for me. The hotel, breakfast and whole experience was amazing too. Soft towels, comfy beds, beautiful building.
Location was closed to center of Granada. It was about 10 minutes to walk.
If you want to keep your car safe, there was a parking lot close to the hotel cost CS$100 cordoba.
The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast also was pretty good.
Naturally the stuff was very polite .
They clean the room everyday .
This is a normal hotel similar in price and in appearance as other in Granada Nicaragua . Please note ;
I'm staying an extra two days .
Best of all the breakfast was delicious :)
Excellent location in the centre of Granada .
Clean , friendly , nice pool, lots of entertainment laid on.
We are the older end of the backpacking age range but really enjoyed our stay. Something for everyone ,
Very friendly staff.
Delicious breakfast, very accommodating hotel owner, and located right in the middle of Granada and Laguna Apollo. If you have a car or moto its the best place to stay around. Layed back but clean and comfortable. Thanks Martina!
Great location just a few minutes walk from the center of Granada. Staff were exceptional and super accommodating. The included breakfast was a nice way to start a day of touring. Parking was easy right in front of the hotel.
peacful hotel in a colonial style, nice premisy - room, bathroom as well as dining room in a garden, relaxing part with pool and small gym. the staff was very nice and helpful. coffe and water available all day long
Everything. This is our favourite hotel in Granada. The place is so charming, staff is super kind (thanks to Alejandra), and the atmosphere is very relaxed. We always come back for our getaway.
Great clean pool and common areas. Really nice kitchen. Good AC in rooms. Nice free welcome drink. Perfect location on the main square. Beautiful old colonial building.
Well located in the centre of Granada hotel, the owners are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and very comfortable, the breakfast is fine, plenty of coffee,
