Very nice location, great and helpful staff, nice restaurant (we only have been to Meat Bistro, and they do have vegetarian options!). Great that we could rented bikes. Beds very comfortable! Pool and saunas were a nice addition.

Absolutely awesome. Great layout, 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Much bigger than expected. 5 minutes walk to beautiful dunes. 5 minutes walk to shopping centre. 5-10 minutes drive to unbelievable beaches, Texel transport, fortress and lighthouse, navy museum Den Helder, 1h to Amsterdam. Very quiet place, surprisingly. ! Excelent beds. Another name for relax:)

I liked the part of the city I managed to see.
I liked the part of the city I managed to see. The reason I came, was because of the Tall Ship Race, so there were a lot of visitors and much of my time was spent related to the Tall Ship Race. I would like to come back to visit when it's a bit more quiet to see the town and surrounding areas.

The city is not as beautiful as the rest of the Netherlands, but it is a port city, probably because of that. It is worth staying here because you can easily get to Texel by ferry from here. Our accommodation was not in the city center, but close to the forest and the sea, in a perfect location for nature lovers. It’s worth checking out the Navy Museum (Marine Museum), not all of which were equally interesting, but the submarine, the ships, the mock-ups and some of the paintings are very special.

Just a business trip to the Marine Base for a couple of days. Luckily we saw the Lighting Festival here in Den Helder which was AMAZING. Cosy town but nothing special. Visit the restaurants near the West Street / Navy museum!

Amazing city in North of Holland.
Amazing city in North of Holland. Super nice for a week-end getaway (although too short in my opinion) or a week vacation. Tons to do: bike rides, markets, beaches, walks in the dune. A lot of nice restaurants. A lot of tourists in the summer though. Would recommend off season.

Spacious kitchen, dining, lounge area, with a large doubdle bedroom. Upstairs toilet and separate bathroom downstairs at the rear. There's a huge private balcony out of the bedorom patio doors that I'm sure would be fabulaous in warmer weather. I liked it so much, I've just booked again for next week

Olga also left some food and drinks on my fridge as I arrived after midnight. The care Olga has with her guests, as her sympathy, are priceless! The cottage is super confortable, fully equiped and confortable, decorated with great taste. I totally reccommend staying over :D

The best is the place: not far from the the beach (500 m) and not far from the town (6 km). Supermarkets are 4-6 km from the hotel and in 4 km is small nice village Julianadorp. You can oder bycicles a day before and they will be delivered in the hotel.
