Middle East’s Best Kept Secret
An enchanting Arabic jewel, Muscat was already an important port in the 1st century. With a strict building code that imposes respect to heights and styles, the city has developed a harmonized and traditional look that makes it irresistible. Don’t miss the traditional Muttrah Souq marketplace, considered one of the best in the region.
The city is actually composed of three towns: Muscat is the walled Old Town where royal palaces are located; Muttrah includes the old and new harbours and the Corniche seafront; and Ruwi is the commercial and diplomatic area. Check out the Muscat hotels map on Booking.com and choose your preferred location!
The city is surrounded by the Western Al Hajar Mountains, and the crystalline waters and sandy beaches of the Arabian Sea. Staying in a Muscat hotel on the beach is a great way to enjoy the beautiful Gulf of Oman views.
The modern and elegant Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is one of the largest in the world. Don’t miss the twin forts of Al Jalali and Al Mirani, and the Qasr Al Alam Royal Palace.
Before departing to Muscat International Airport, check the deals for hotels, resorts, and B&B’s available on Booking.com!
Muscat is a nice and beautiful city. Souq Matrah is a must to visit. You need a car to get around the city, so best option is to rent a car. However, the food is expensive and overpriced at restaurants in the beach resorts areas like Al-Moge area or near hotels like InterContinental hotel and resort area, etc.

A must visit. Great hospitality. Amazing people. Clean city.
A must visit. Great hospitality. Amazing people. Clean city. Variety of food options. Wonderful landscapes. Just avoid summer month (April - November). And public transport is not up to mark. Sultan Qaboos mosque is something you don't want to miss.

Muscat is a Jewel of Middle East but as an independent Solo traveler who enjoys walking and use public transports , I tend to struggle. The infrastructure is just not there comparing to Dubai where one has an option to use the Metro from A to B.
Oman is spread out even from Muttrah to City you need a Taxi. Walking from Ghubra which is only a distant away from Millenium Apt, you would struggle to find a continuous pavement to walk on. So come on Oman work towards Eco Friendly.
Nizwa is always my favourite place❤️
Try street food “mishkaki” bbq meat at Ghubra or Just pass AlMouj complex.
Avoid May, June July August (hottest season) unless you are travelling to Salalah which is cooler season.

Muscat and Oman in general is a lovely destination for outdoorsy people. Mountains and desert trips are a must. Also the coastal area is nice and Mutra is a nice area where the Royal palace and fort is. Would recommend a trip to the desert, Wadi Bani and Nizwa and Jabreen Fort. Grand mosque is lovely to see. Beaches are OK, but not really touristy. People are so friendly and welcoming. It is not easy to get around Muscat if you are walking - it is impossible, you have to get taxis or hire a car.
This hotel is pure class. Possibly the best I’ve ever stayed in. Staff are brilliant, so kind and thoughtful. The food is really outstanding - Zale restaurant setting is so well done with great food, and it’s true the breakfast and lunch buffets are staggeringly good - oysters, lobsters, a DJ playing lounge beats, tick tick tick. The location in the upcoming Al Mouj area is great for walking out a bit which is a bonus over resort type hotels. Private beach, nice pools, bowling alley all great for our kids.
This is my third stay at Muscat Inn, and I will always choose this hotel for my stopovers with Oman Air. It is convenient for the airport, the Grand Mosque and the Lulu center. The staff are amazing. Gina is the friendliest and most welcoming receptionist, and all the room staff such as Anuj helpful and willing to attend all your requests promptly. The rooms are spacious, clean, with strong aircon, soundproofing and great balcony views of the city. Excellent experience. My home from home in Muscat!
Each room in villa has own bathroom. The rooms are large and clean.
Guests can also use well-equipped kitchen.
Close to the villa there is descent to large, sandy beach.
Salah is a fantastic host. He told us a lot about the culture and customs of Oman.
He was also very helpful. He helped us rent a cheap car and negotiate prices for more expensive items.
On the last day he took us to a local restaurant where we could try camel meat.
Finally he drove us to the airport.
The rooftop terrace is great! The location is good, near airport and beach. The interior design is very well done. Great value for price.
The gym has two treadmills, a stepper, cables, a bench (for dumbbell exercises), and dumbbells ranging between 2-20 kg. If you're on the stronger side you won't get too far, maybe with the cables, but most people can get a decent workout with the equipment provided. You were also able to do pull-ups on the double cable pulley.
The place is amazing. There's a rooftop poll with wonderful city views. Sauna and Jacuzzi too. Amandeep and Imran were so hospitable and professional and made us feel really at home. The bed in our room was super comfy as was our whole room. There's a snooker club beside the hotel with 4 king size12x6 tables. There's many outstanding and affordable restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. Also IKEA and Oman Avenues mall are a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
Good location near airport, very quiet/peaceful area, decent parking in basement, lovely, lovely staff at the hotel. Very helpful and friendly.
Hotel is very clean. I really like the decor and how minimalistic the decor /layout is. There's some very nice features in the room.
Room service and cafe /restaurant is wonderful. I extended my stay and will definitely return on my next trip to Muscat!
Thank you so much for making my stay comfortable.
We liked this hotel so much. Big, clean with western interior it really worth the price. Location also is very comfortamble, it is beachfront, so you can enjoy beach and sea, but also not so far from the city centre. Stuff very helpful as well. We also liked the meals, breakfast and dinner were just woow. Different cuisines, tasty meals- everyone can find what to eat. So if you are
looking for a 5 star hotel for a good price bear in mind ICH
everything about it was absolutely amazing!
the staff were helpful and friendly.
i loved the atmosphere in the hotel . honestly it was quite.
the place was clean always and smelled good.
the pool as well was clean and we had such a lovely experience.
it’s not gonna be the last time we book in this hotel.
It’s honestly one of the best hotels in Oman.
nearly forgotten, checking out was super smooth and quick.
Loved everything. Comfortable, clean, nice staff and overall a very reliable hotel. We stayed here twice for transfers and it was the best decision. Malls are reachable by walk and the mosque is really close too. Airport bus stop is right in front of the hotel.
After a week of adventure in oman in good and bad hotels, it was a breath of fresh air to stay in an hotel with European-like standards
This hotel is located in one of the best areas in Muscat. It’s closed to Muscat international airport just 10-12 minutes by car and can easily access everywhere through the Sultan Qaboos highway.
The staff are polite, kind, helpful and friendly as always and I felt at home.
They do their best of efforts to make you feel comfortable during your stay…
The bed, the staff, and the atrium style of hotel floors inside was nice. We availed breakfast as well and the items were great tasting, though a bit pricey. Location is perfect and all must places to visit in Muscat are nearby, like Qurum beach, mutrah view point, bandar al rodah, al amerat hills, ghubrah beach, oman malls, and grand mosque, etc.
It's conveniently close to the airport - 10 minutes bus ride at the cost of 0.5 riyals, which makes it perfect starting/finishing point of a trip to Oman. The room is spacious, bed comfy, with the best pillows I've seen! Complimentary bottle of water on arrival, hot water and sealing fan (I love those) plus some decent places to eat in the area.
The location is Greatttt but the hotel is very dated. They did some renovations recently but its bot worth the money at all unless u want a hotel on the beach then its worth it because you wont find similar prices for a good hotel on the beach in Oman theyre very expensive.
Clean hotel. The best place to stay at the transit zone from the airport. Only ten minutes from the boarding gates away. Six hours flight from Zuerich, 12 hours fantastic rest, seven hours flight to Kuala Lumpur with Oman Air. Best choice. Not a exhausting none stop flight.
The rooms are super clean and quiet. You can have a decent sleep specially the hotel is quite far from the main area. If you are on transit or next destination is the airport. This hotel is best for you.
