I like the lady that was only on her second day. Other guy she was with wasn’t there. Manager I spoke with I felt was not very personable to me. Felt very dismissed . Won’t be back.

We booked at the comfort inn suites down the road from Marriot first. That hotel was a disaster, not clean, poor service, bad smells in public spaces, no security.
We booked the Marriott for the remainder of our time in Fairfax. We were pleasantly surprised at the clean smell that greeted us in the lobby and throughout the property. The desk check in greeted us and were very professional. The room and furniture were beautiful. Location was fantastic!
Thank you Marriott!

I liked the Gabriel Iglesias Fluffy show in stadium near George Mason University, all the restaurants and shopping Cheesecake Factory, Dave and Busters, Silver Diner, so much to see and do. I just didn't like the extended stay hotel at Fair Oaks Mall, run down, smelly and dirty. I enjoyed the national park near Fairfax, Great Falls Park...was really beautiful. The waterfalls were awesome.

I didn't expect it to look like a motel.
I didn't expect it to look like a motel. That was shocking but actually helpful and convenient to have my car next to the room. New experience!
The breakfast was OK, very simple. Scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes.
The coffee was terrible, tasteless. The cup was smaller than normal and still I couldn't finish it. There was no lid for coffee cups.

Fairfax is a bit pricier than some places Not far from the National Parks "Wolf Trap" a nice looking concert venue. Some shopping, a nice looking downtown and a few upscale restaurants and typical shopping there.

All was well except for 2 things.
All was well except for 2 things. The floor, both varieties areas and the bathroom tile, was not 100% clean. There was a toothpick and other small debris on the carpet, and a previously used washcloth was left hanging over the shower curtain.

This is a basic hotel.
This is a basic hotel. Not expensive, just getting shabby and worn down. Sink faucet did not work, towel bar coming off wall. Darker rooms with no overhead lighting. sofa was worn and fraying. Carpet matted and worn. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen has no utensils or anything so it is basically useless on less you spend time and want to buy utensils. I spent two nights and it was basic, basic cleaning with a comfy bed. You get what you pay for.
Reasonably priced hotel near highways, the airport, George Mason University, and Fairfax. I took a family member to look at a university and didn't spend much time in the hotel except to sleep. The room was clean, everything in the room worked, good water pressure in the shower. It was conveniently located to other places we needed to go. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The internet worked well - I streamed a TV show without any interruption. The TV in the room has plenty of channels and options.
This is our go-to hotel for all of our visits to see our son at George Mason University. Location is convenient. Staff is always friendly. Nice lobby to chill, play games or have a cocktail. Courtyard is nice too but was a bit too warm out to fully enjoy. Rooms are adequate, clean and comfortable. We also loved exploring the Asian market next door.
The room is a bit on the dark side, however the bathroom is huge, and very well lit. The breakfast was awesome and the lady owner was super nice and very accommodating (she tried to be creative with the breakfast since I had some diet restrictions). The location is perfect as you can walk to a lot of places (restaurants, pharmacy, stores, etc. ).
The hotel is always beautiful and clean. Easy access to the rooms with all safety measures set. The fact that there is a kitchenette in the rooms saves on having to go out to eat and spend extra money. This will be my go-to place whenever I'm in the area. Sonesta definitely lives up to their name and reputation.
This place, I am sure, was quite the place when it was built. Now, it is a mid-century classic, showing what a swanky suburban hotel used to be like. Loved it! It has a great breakfast room with plenty of space. The prices were reasonable compared to the usual D.C. area gouging!
I loved the hotel and my room. It was great!! Loved the large television and the option to turn if you are in the bed. The bathroom shower was also a great addition. The front desk staff were very cordial and professional. No complaints
the location was fantastic, very convenient for doing things in the Fairfax and Fair Oaks area... the staff was responsive to questions... the rooms were clean, spacious, and very well equipped... last but not least, great value...
This is an unpretentious 2 star hotel that is inexpensive. Some rooms are better than others but it was good value for money and clean with pleasant staff.
