Sarajevo was very friendly and felt safe and comfortable.
Sarajevo was very friendly and felt safe and comfortable. There is a great cafe culture so you can sit with a coffee or beer and watch the world go by. It is culturally diverse and feels welcoming, all the more extraordinary considering the fairly recent history of war and the siege. There are walking tours which are worth going on- ours was great, with a local, knowledgeable guide. It’s worth going up on the cable car and having a wander around the mountain tracks- all well signposted.
We can’t wait to go back!

A really interesting city.
A really interesting city. The people are warm and friendly, ready to welcome and assist visitors. Many speak a variety of languages. English is commonly used, menus are often in English as well as Bosnian. The food is tasty and there are a variety of cuisines to choose.
The city is walkable, there are many tours available. We chose a free
Walking tour and the Fall of Yugoslavia tour. Both to our guides were very knowledgeable and passionate about their city. They were open to questions and enjoyed sharing their opinions.
The cable car allows the visitor to get a Birds Eye view of its size. The Old Town is great for traditional meals. Good coffee is available everywhere.
I liked the fact that East and West meet, it gives hope. It was an experience that will remain with me for a while.

2.All the toilets are pay-per-use.
3.The trams are very vintage, and the ticket punching surprised me.
4.Burek is super delicious. Other local dishes tend to be salty.

Such an interesting city, with an even greater sense of East meets West than Istanbul. It's small, so easy to get around, and the river is helpful for orientation. Two must-see destinations that are often missed are the Jewish Museum and the Sarajevo Haggadah held in the National Museum. Would recommend a 'free' walking tour - we used Neno & Friends, and Merima was really excellent. But be prepared: still very much a cash-based economy, and BAMs not available outside Bosnia. Also, maybe it was just the season (early May), but restaurants are often fully booked - worth booking a day or two in advance. The 2-hour Talgo train down to Mostar is a great side trip for a day or two.

Great destination.
Great destination. Downtown offers you everything you want: very tasty food, interesting museums and touristic objectives to visit, sweets and aromas, nice streets, kind peoples... I felt like in an oriental city - then walking along the river was great too, as bridges and buildings being also modern and having a futuristic approach. Old and new, history and future in a great cohabitation.
Considering that we were one of the cheated guests in Sarajevo this year (the first accommodation we booked didn't exist), We were happy that we got a hotel in the center that was available.
The hotel itself in the heart of the city. The immediate vicinity of "Baščaršija" where everything happens. The receptionists are very friendly. The cleaners are nice. They cleaned our room every day. Upon arrival, we received a bag of coffee and a magnet of the city of Sarajevo. Very nice of them :)
The location of this hotel is so central however the street itself is not too noisy/busy at night. It was a short walk downhill to the main square (a bit steep coming back up but it's a short walk). There is also shops/food places on the door step. They have reserved on street parking across the road, spaces are limited so book in advance. The host was friendly & accomadating. I would book this place again if I were to return to Sarajevo.
This is very nice one bedroom apartment that we stayed in. Well furnished , comfortable bed , full kitchen ,parking for our car and about 7 minutes walk to the old town where there are many restaurants, bakeries, butchers and a small supermarket . The owner is helpful especially when we booked one extra night . She introduced us to a free walking tour of the old town which was very good , offered by ''Meet Bosnia'' travel firm
Hotel is located at great location, only 2 minutes to Bascarsija. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. People working there were so kind and they even let us change the room for the better one. Breakfast has limited options as it is based on eggs (not buffet) and has few other things like bosnian version of nutella, honey and cream, but it is still ok to have good breakfast.
The room is comfortable. But WiFi is not very good. Very slow. The signal is not good. The service of the reception is very good. My credit card is Chinese card. I can't get the money from Booking App after I leave the hotel. I know that. The lady helped me call Booking. Solved the problem. Transfer the money from Booking to the hotel. It's very convenient for me. Hvala. 😃👍👍👍
Location amazing, staff kindly. Special great thanks to old man in reception(sorry forgot the name). I had more than 100 hotels in 25-30 countries but never meet like this staff, he is very kindly. Dear admin, please tell our greetings to him, we can’t meet with him when we check-out, and absolutely I’ll book this property when I will come back to Sarajevo. Thanks a lot!
The best hostel in Sarajevo, I think. It was my first trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina and I am glad that I have chosen this hotel. I advise you to book here. You will not regret it. Location is one of the best in Sarajevo, I didn't even want to go somewhere another place because right outside of my hostel, there were the most beautiful places. Beautiful staff. Thanks!
The services is amazing from A to Z. The host booked me a taxi from the airport. The flat was very clean and tidy and very spacious as well. Needless to say this is a prime location and for me it was very important as all my business meetings took place around.
I've asked for some groceries as well and he managed to get them very quickly. Highly recommended.
Great location, pleasant and serviceable stuff! The hotel room was clean, the breakfast was tasty and we got everything we asked for in addition. The only thing you have to check before with hotel manager is a parking spot. They have public and private parking, but only if you highlight that proposition. Would definitely book again and recommend to others!
I didn’t personally stay in this hotel, I booked it for my mom and she said everything was good.
I communicated with staff and have only positive experience. My mom doesn’t speak Bosnian and English, I informed hotel about it and they provided check in details that I shared with my mom lately. They also arrange transfer and picked her up from the airport.
A great little family run hotel if you want to explore the old town of Sarajevo this is a really good option to stay at, great hosts, very friendly and very attentive. Keep in mind going back on foot from the old town its quite a steep climb uphill for about 500 meters so its definitely something to keep in mind when booking
Located in the centre of old town, close to everything you want to see in Sarajevo. The design idea is nice, “old fashion” but Bosnian style inspired. We booked last minute which was a big plus. You have also a small kitchen, so you can have a coffee or anything in your room. Late check-out is also a plus.
Nice hotel in historical building - the rooms are decorated in bosnian-ottoman furniture and have everything one needs for a nice stay. The location is fantastic and close to Baščaršija, the old town of Sarajevo. The hammam can be used during the stay. The breakfast is outstanding and very tasty!
The property was ideal for our purpose of finding something convenient and comfortable for a group of friends to explore Sarajevo and Bosnia. The host was exceptionally helpful in assisting us and providing valuable advice. The apartment had all mod cons and was very clean.
I don’t think I’ve met a nicer person in Bosnia than the host Aida. In addition, the place is very nice, roomy and feels upscale. Also, it’s 5-10 minutes away from the market and has good free parking arrangement.
Staff is very kind. Room is very good, clean, spacious.
Bathroom is huge. Breakfast is amazing! Right at the city center. 2 minutes walk to the main street of Sarajevo.
Definitely book it! Best in Sarajevo
Excellent location in Old Town. Close, free parking a bonus. Host very friendly and helpful. Super clean flat and comfortable bed. Would book here again.
