The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean, spacious, and the furnishings in the bedrooms and restaurant/bar areas were smart and stylish. It was very quiet at night, and we got a great night’s sleep.
The food was exceptional, and very good value for money. I think I had a whole packet of smoked salmon with my scrambled egg at breakfast 🤣
We had moved from another hotel as it was disgustingly dirty, and did not have a lot of time to look for another accommodation. However, The Queens Head did not disappoint. It was a great find, and we will definitely be going back when we are in that area again.
I would highly recommend this place for food and accommodation.

Location was ok for the race course, taxis were a little pricey

Excellent location for a Uni based event. Good, clean, comfy rooms with all the facilities you would expect, including sockets and USB sockets by BOTH sides of the bed! This is surprisingly rare to find. Staff were very friendly.
There was also a gym and swimming pool on site.
