The local area is good for restaurants, vineyards,...
The local area is good for restaurants, vineyards, activities like boat trips and horse riding. There are some interesting historical sites (castle and bronze age settlement) close by. I really wish we could have stayed for longer than a week to see more of the locality. The bus can be a bit hit and miss, but a really cheap way to access the north of the island, Fira and Oia.

Beautiful area. Wonderful restaurants in the village.
Beautiful area. Wonderful restaurants in the village. Loved the Venetian castle which has coffee and food. You must visit the ancient city. The locals over all were very friendly and helpful. Please note-there are a lot of homeless animals. Be prepared for it.

Akrotiri is a small place in the southern part of the island of Santorini, from which one can see the caldera and also experience beautiful sunsets. There is a small supermarket and a clothing store as well as restaurants and an art shop there. Also important are the Akrotiri Castle and the proximity to the Red Beach and the archaeological site, which can be reached on foot. There are also horses nearby that you can ride to the beach. Megalochori, a small beautiful village nearby, can be reached by bus to Fira. An ideal place to enjoy the sun in the south and to do tours of the island from there.

This area of Santorini was just perfect for us.
This area of Santorini was just perfect for us. Memorable views, from the caldera to the sunset, Oia & Fira in the distance.
The archeological site and the Lost Atlantis museum are very close for a jump into myth and real history of the island. The best beaches for snorkling are in this southern coast, between Vlichada and the Lighthouse. Many family run restaurants, super markets and amenities are at reach. And the Horst Riding experience with a wild gallop on the eros beacj is roght there .. strongly recommended.

I liked the fact it was close to facilities which l forgot to mention before! Supermarket, restaurants, (loved Porto Bello restaurant), cafes & chemist etc! Also car hire available! All short walk away!
Enjoyed a trip to the ancient archeological site & the museum of The Lost City of Atlantis! Also Red beach & Caldera! Lovely catamaran boat cruise round island with bbq & wine although l ghoughg bit pricey.
My husband and I stayed at the White curves for our honeymoon and we could not have been happier. From the moment we got there, we felt welcomed. Breakfast served in front of our room with sea view. The home keeper was extremely nice and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. We were welcomed with wine and a beautiful view. The room is spectacular. Clean and very well equipped. Lots of good recommendations were given to us. If you are going to Santorini, I 100% recommend satins at the White curves. You won’t be disappointed.
Next to the beach and tons of restaurants nearby. A more serene side of Santorini and if you are afraid of too crowded place, this is the location you should stay. The outdoor yard where you could enjoy the sun during the day and sea breeze at night is superb. Very good rated restaurants are nearby and reachable by foot. Black and red beaches are reachable by foot as well.
Hotel staffs were very helpful, breakfast started at 8am but due to early flight we requested at 7.30am and they accommodated our request.
The hotel is brand new and in the most stunning location. the view of the Caldera really is beautiful, and we were very lucky to have the penthouse which has an amazing size balcony and plenty of room inside too. The decor is beautifully finished and rooms comfortable. The location is quiet and away from the extremely busy side of Santorini. Lina was so helpful from arrival and sorted our transfers with no issues at all. The hotel offer car hire as well which is very handy if you wish to explore Santorini.
Staff is great. There was a problem with AC in the room. They moved us right away to an other one. On checkout date our flight back was late in the evening and the staff gave us the opportunity to have a very late checkout at 8PM. for free. Room and pool very clean. lovely patio in each room. Across the road the bar-restaurant offers one of best sunsets views in Santorini. I would suggest the hotel for people with a rented car but bus stop is just in front of the hotel (both directions).
I stayed at the hotel to celebrate my 20 year wedding anniversary. If you are looking for a place to stay in Santorini, look no further! The staff is beyond amazing and made my renewal beyond my expectations ❤️ The rooms are clean, the staff was very attentive, and the grounds were gorgeous! The staff was excellent but especially Giannis, Natalia, and Sophia were all beyond AMAZING! I will definitely be back and was so sad to leave!
We really enjoyed our stay at Stavros’ place!
The room is a ‘cave’, a typical architecture style found in Santorini. It’s big and spacious and has a lovely terrace with Caldera views.
Stavros was an amazing host, communication was great both during check in and check out and he really made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
Akrotiri is a quiet little village in Santorini, perfect if you want to avoid the crowds!
Amazing suite, very clean and the decor is just stunning. Localization in the Akrotiri center close to restaurants, coffeehouses and a minimarket.
Excellent, kind and really helpful hostess, he recomend excelents restaurants to eat and places to go.
I loved the terrace with the amazing view on Santorini's beauties. Perfect to relax.
Everything is perfect! I really recommend this place!
Pretty much everything about the place is exceptional! The view is spectacular, the pool aswell. Staff was super nice and friendly. The entire hotel with the view gives that Santorini vibe which was the reason why we came for. Overall our stay at the Apameno was great, will recommend it to everyone who wants to experience the Insland in the way it's supposed to be experienced!
Incredible view overlooking the volcano and the rest of Santorini from the room as well as the rest of the place.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
A pretty quiet location where you didn't hear much noise from outside the hotel.
Closely located to a beach and busses that connects you to the rest of Santorini.
It is a very nice apartment in Akrotiri about 20 min drive from Fira. The apartment has all you need and the view of the sea. Hosts Georgia and Margarita are very friendly and helpful, providing excellent service and tips. Very good restaurants are nearby. Really recommendable for guests who have a rental car on Santorini.
This place is very beautiful and quiet. I was very satisfied by the staff and the amenities. It was very clean with a great pool and delicious dishes at the pool bar restaurant. One of the best choices for your accommodation in Akrotiri Santorini.
The location was amazing, Akrotiri is the most peaceful side of Santorini. The hospitality of the staff were great, they recommended things around town, helped us order an ATV. The rooms were beautiful and clean. Everything was perfect.
Staff were friendly and it was in a more quiet town on Santorini which was nice. You must go to Punta Castelli for a meal if you stay here! The local bus stops just down the road which is handy and there is a beach in walking distance.
Nike who met us at the property was very nice and gave up great tips on restaurants in Santorini, especially the ones the locals dined at and not the touristy ones. I will look to stay again the next time I come to Santorini.
Absolutely amazing place. the hotel, the accommodations the service, the staff very pleasant and friendly, everything was excellent.Breathtaking view off beautiful Akrotiri in Santorini. I will Absolutely come back again. *****
Nice quiet family run Hotel on a quieter part of Santorini. We enjoyed being away from the crowds. A rental car is a necessity. Definitely a good value on expensive Santorini Island.
It was so cute! Everything I pictured when I thought of Santorini. The owner was so helpful and there’s a lovely cafe right beneath the hotel that has really great smoothies.
Everything was great and the owner took us really care of. She gave us amazing tips to enjoy and visit Santorini for the first time. Love the place would definitely go back.
10/10 would recommend. The staff goes above and beyond to provide an excellent service. The hotel also has one of the best locations to have breakfast in Santorini.
Pretty much everything. The view, the pool(s), the staff. Southern Santorini is more remote and quiet than other parts and this embraced that, and we love that.
