A well organised city.
A well organised city. Shymbulak Snow Mountain is very close by to city. Lots of Indian restaurants available. Yandex Go ( Taxi App ) is very nominal and also available immediately from Booking. Highly recommend tourist to use Yandex go. Don't use Airport taxi agents who approach you , they offer less price to get hold of customers however while dropping they charge heavy,so be careful and better not use them. Instead you may use prepaid taxi or Yandex Go.

Almaty is really a ignored diamond. I am sure people will rush to Almaty in 2-3 years And about my Apartment now. Host is very cooperative since booking. We also washed our clothes there for no aditional charge. At the end of our stay we even got a small Kazakhstani chocholate! After this stay we needed a place to store our bags in Almaty (because we then went on a 5 day trip elsewhere) and the host was generous enough to offer us to leave them at the hostel.NikaSlovenia

It is very cosy, clean and has a good atmosphere. The kitchen is well equiped and there's a lot of place to relax. The staff is nice, friendly and helpful. You can go to a guided tour via hostel which is I guess the cheapest option if you want to see some places in the south of Kazakhstan.
