El Hotel Alto Lido, de 4 estrellas, ha sido reformado en 2018 y está situado en Lido, la zona principal de Funchal, a 2,5 km del centro de la ciudad. The hotel is excellent and good price! The breakfast is more than you could imagine or able to eat. Super clean and modern! Definitely recommend!

Buen desayuno, algún día incluso con música de piano en vivo. Spa y piscinas muy agradables, con acceso al mar. Buena ubicación a las afueras de Funchal, en zona turística con bares y restaurantes.

El Vila Vicência ofrece pileta al aire libre, bar, jardín y wifi gratis y se encuentra en Funchal, a 500 metros de la playa Gorgulho-Gavinas y a 2,6 km del puerto deportivo. Great location and staff, they are super friendly! If we come back to Funchal, we definitely are staying there again!

El Meliã Madeira Mare está situado cerca del centro de Funchal y ofrece vistas al océano Atlántico, conexión wifi gratis, pileta cubierta y al aire libre y spa. Considering it is a 5 star hotel, it is great value for money and the stay and room was five stars all the way. The service and staff are beyond my expectations. I had just completed my 8 day solo walk around the island and asked if it was possible to have a quieter room away from the road (I booked a lateral sea view room with a balcony, which is also excellent itself). Carla at reception was very helpful and found me another room, an unexpected upgrade, with a larger balcony and direct sea view. I also appreciated her sincere recommendation for dinner, specifically "no touristy restaurants please". I listened and had a seafood platter at PVP - Pão, Vinho e Petiscos, opposite the hotel, and it was the best I have had in a long time! My picnic (on the day I couldn't have breakfast), taxis and room changes were all efficiently organised and carried out. Unfortunately, while I was there, the hotel was undergoing some refurbishment due to damage caused by the bad weather, and I think part of the restaurant overlooking the pool was closed, as was the indoor pool. I imagine it would be an even better experience if these areas were not closed. However, we were given plenty of notice of the refurbishment before we checked in. As a substitute, the hotel did well to liaise with the neighbouring hotel to allow us to use their indoor pool. Overall a great stay and only regret is, I could not extend my stay as the hotel was fully booked on my last night in Funchal.

Wonderful hotel in a very convenient good location near the city center. The staff is very responsive and polite. A huge advantage of the hotel is that it has its own free underground parking for clients. There is quite a wide variety for breakfast, although not extremely large, but everything is very tasty and fresh. Coffee is from large coffee machines, but, as I understand it, from coffee beans, since coffee takes quite a long time to make, but it turns out very tasty, aromatic and excellent.

El Allegro Madeira es un alojamiento recién reformado que se encuentra en Lido, a solo 5 minutos a pie del paseo marítimo de Funchal, y dispone de 2 restaurantes, pileta al aire libre, bar de 360º en... The view was so beautiful and the pool was lovely. It was in the best location to stroll the waterfront shops and easy access to walk to the old town or hop a bus.
