Featuring a restaurant and a bar, Hotel Cajú is set in Funchal, less than 1 km from Almirante Reis Beach and a 6-minute walk from Marina do Funchal. I really couldn't fault this hotel. The staff were lovely, the location was great and the beds were super comfy. The shower was hot and powerful. We didn't use the little gym downstairs but we were able to refill our water bottle from inside. Breakfast was very nice - loved the Caju bowl in particular. The only small criticism was our toilet door didn't stay shut - it used to swing open

We loved everything about this hotel! From the arrival where we were greeted with champagne to the wonderful food and bars offered within the hotel to the OUTSTANDING spa staff, we could not have had a better trip. We visited during a 3 day storm so we had plenty of time to use all of the hotel amenities and could not recommend them more. The rooms were spacious, had balconies (for those rare, clear moments) and had modern, clean bathrooms with luxurious showers. While I did not eat at the restaurant for dinner, 6 of our other friends did and absolutely raved about the food. The quality and value, coupled with excellent staff made for an amazing trip. Only a 5-minute walk from so many things to do in Old town and a 10-minute cab ride to the more commercialized, shopping area of town. We would only stay at the Castanheiro hotel again if we return.

Viešbutis „Orquidea“ įsikūręs aukštoje vietoje, arčiau nei už 200 metrų nuo Vyno muziejaus ir Monte Palace atogrąžų sodų. The hotel location was great, all within walking distance. The room was very clean. Front desk was 24 hours. People at the front desks were nice and efficient. We left our luggage on the check out day for a day trip then came back to pick it up. It was very convinent. Also the included breakfast was very nice. It ranged from cold to warm items, drinks (coffe and juices) and fruits.

The staff are just fantastic - so friendly and genuinely nice. Breakkfast is great - both cooked and buffet
