The place was beautiful and extremely well maintained. It was serene and has a fully covered courtyard in the the center where you can eat breakfast or have tea every morning (the photos on the site are very accurate). The individually-portioned breakfast was awesome, very generous, and changed on a daily basis. I also loved the fresh ginger tea they served in the evenings. In terms of location, you can get to Malioboro via a $2 cab ride (or you can walk 20-30min to get there). It's super easy to get cabs in Yogyakarta. There's also a convenience store right outside on the main road, and the guest house is a 3min walk away from Tempo Gelato (a popular dessert place). The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Bambang, who is such a kind person and always there when we needed something.

The location inside the kingdom was quiet and you could feel the home atmosphere. The design of the space allowed for plenty of natural light in all directions. The landscaping lends to the space and we were impressed by the lack of mosquitoes and enjoyed watching the geckos feasting on the porch in the evening.

Dirfy Giatzouzaki Grčija

This beautiful hostel is like a small green oasis in the middle of the city. The people here are super friendly and always glad to help with anything you might need. From tips for trips to delicious freshly squeezed juices, the snooze team comes number one! The room is spotless clean as is the bathroom, toilet and kitchen. You can serve your own coffee or ask for an extra tasty espresso. It really felt like home (for sure prettier than mine) and it was actually hard to leave. Already can't wait to come back! Thank you guys for the wonderful experience!!

We stayed in 3 hotels in Yogyakarta, this one was the best. The owner is very nice and helpful, he cooked for us an amazing breakfast. Was so yummy that we order another breakfast 🤓 Everything is clean and smell good. There is not hot shower but the water is not so cold. I recommend.

The staff are really helpful, friendly and speak excellent English. The hotel was really good value. It's well maintained and there are ceramics and art decorating the place. It's very easy and cheap to book GRAB cars to and from the hotel. GRAB is across Asia and is on an App like UBER. GRAB to the main sites cost just US$ 2 or $3. It's an area where local people go to eat and socialise not a tourist trap area. There are very good restaurants within a few hundred yards, Racikan was great for food and coffee, we also liked Dapur Manado. These are a few minutes walk from the hotel. The airport express train goes into the centre of Yogyakarta and the hotel is a few minutes away by Grab. We enjoyed our visit and it was excellent value.

It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!

Very impressed with the architectural style of the room, the carved wooden door ( a masterpiece). Good attention to details, although a 2 star accomodation, we had better facilities than a 3 star hotel. The owner values his guests, a lot of resting areas in the courtyard, a fridge with juice and beers to cool down were expecting us upon our arrival. Good breakfast ( we were asked what we prefere to eat). The singing birds were the main attraction for the kids. After some bad nights spent in horrible guesthouses, this one came like a very nice surprise.
