The location and setting of the Kookuburra Cottage was superb as we overlooked the pond and could watch all the birds - amazing view. Nice and handy to Maleny which was worth a visit in itself. Our hosts supplied us with a marvellous hamper which basically fed us for the two days we were there. The cottage was very spacious and well appointed. We literally wanted for nothing. Our accommodation far exceeded our expectation.

A beautiful rural lakeside cottage only 5 minutes from Maleny. Denise was an excellent host and does her craft very, very well. The newly renovated studio cottage was fitted out perfectly with everything needed for a short stay and then some. We got to see several platypus in the lake only metres from the front door. It's a quiet serene location with all the comforts of home, plenty of hot water and a decent size bathroom equipped with Sheridan towels, quality toiletries and a very comfortable bed with plenty of pillows etc.

One of the best place we stayed. Very tranquil, in the midst of birds and the beautiful animals, lots of trees around - stunning location with lot of privacy. The cottage was super clean, extremely well organised and well thought of, spacious and comfortable. Had a very nice stay and would love to stay again someday.

A nicely-appointed large room with king bed and comfortable mattress, a generous breakfast basket (a small kitchenette wall and dining table both indoors and outdoors); a huge beautifully appointed modern bathroom with shower. Just a few minutes' drive to Maleny main street with ample shops and restaurants - yet the perfect retreat.
