Set in Yogyakarta and only 2 km from Fort Vredeburg, Rumah Jawa Guest House (Syariah) offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. The place was beautiful and extremely well maintained. It was serene and has a fully covered courtyard in the the center where you can eat breakfast or have tea every morning (the photos on the site are very accurate). The individually-portioned breakfast was awesome, very generous, and changed on a daily basis. I also loved the fresh ginger tea they served in the evenings. In terms of location, you can get to Malioboro via a $2 cab ride (or you can walk 20-30min to get there). It's super easy to get cabs in Yogyakarta. There's also a convenience store right outside on the main road, and the guest house is a 3min walk away from Tempo Gelato (a popular dessert place). The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Bambang, who is such a kind person and always there when we needed something.

Located just 1.2 km from Sultan's Palace, Griya Asih provides accommodation in Yogyakarta with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. The location inside the kingdom was quiet and you could feel the home atmosphere. The design of the space allowed for plenty of natural light in all directions. The landscaping lends to the space and we were impressed by the lack of mosquitoes and enjoyed watching the geckos feasting on the porch in the evening.

Snooze in Yogyakarta provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. The air-conditioned accommodation is 600 metres from Sultan's Palace. It’s a wonderful hostel. I was in a shared room with bunk beds but there were lots of space, nice AC, privacy curtain, little lamp and towel. Also breakfast was included. The wonderful young women at the front desk went above and beyond to help me and they were sooo nice and professional. I loved the place and I hope I can come back some day. the breakfast was delicious.

"NOMORE" Gallery and Guesthouse is situated in the Kraton district of Yogyakarta, less than 1 km from Museum Sonobudoyo, a 13-minute walk from Fort Vredeburg and less than 1 km from Yogyakarta... We stayed in 3 hotels in Yogyakarta, this one was the best. The owner is very nice and helpful, he cooked for us an amazing breakfast. Was so yummy that we order another breakfast 🤓 Everything is clean and smell good. There is not hot shower but the water is not so cold. I recommend.

Located in the city of Yogyakarta, just 12 minutes drive away from Malioboro Shopping Street. Raintree Boutique Villa & Gallery is a classic interior villa with Javanese-European design. The staff are really helpful, friendly and speak excellent English. The hotel was really good value. It's well maintained and there are ceramics and art decorating the place. It's very easy and cheap to book GRAB cars to and from the hotel. GRAB is across Asia and is on an App like UBER. GRAB to the main sites cost just US$ 2 or $3. It's an area where local people go to eat and socialise not a tourist trap area. There are very good restaurants within a few hundred yards, Racikan was great for food and coffee, we also liked Dapur Manado. These are a few minutes walk from the hotel. The airport express train goes into the centre of Yogyakarta and the hotel is a few minutes away by Grab. We enjoyed our visit and it was excellent value.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of mountain, Blue Garden Yogyakarta is a recently renovated guest house located in Yogyakarta, 11 km from Museum Sonobudoyo. It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!

Ndalem Suryo Saptono Guest House is situated in Yogyakarta, 2.7 km from Yogyakarta Tugu Train Station, 3.1 km from Tugu Monument, as well as 3.1 km from Malioboro Mall. Every morning we received local breakfast. Possiibilities to buy water and instant soups in the property. They provide a nice daydriver at the place for a good price.

Mr.Wibowo loves to drive you to place you have never been and he makes sure you are comfortable while he's driving. Snacks and drinks are always with him. Mr. Wibowo's wife cook you meals and breakfast with lots of love in it and we preferred to stay at their home for dinner instead of going to a restaurant. The room is big and have everything you need to feel at home. We really recommend this homestay to everybody!! Don't look any further!!
