We stayed at Nini’s seaview bungalow for three nights, just a couple meters from the ocean. Nini’s is the only place with both restaurant and bungalow facing the water, which is a huge advantage compared to other resorts (and very good value for money). The bungalow is very comfortable and the bathroom is nicely decorated. The spaces are nicely designed, the food is amazing, and we will miss having breakfast with sea view. With only two bungalows, the atmosphere remains very familiar. Nini and the staff were very helpful and happily accommodated our requests, the service was exceptional. Bira is not as touristy as other Indonesian islands, don’t expect plenty of restaurants and cocktail bars, but if you are looking for a beach escape the place is perfect. Don’t miss out on diving and snorkeling.

Built in traditional Torajan style, Rura Raya Homestay is situated in Rantepao. The rooms here offers modern comforts and while maintaining the traditional decor. We like the nice bedroom with good view. Manaek is a great personne. Her food is fantastic very tasty. She is very kind and smiling. We recommand her homestay.

Offering an accommodation with a dive centre, Happy Gecko Dive Resort is located on Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi, just steps from the island’s world-famous beaches and diving sites. Snorkeling on the dive boat was excellent. Felt I was being looked out for. Two different locations each morning. Great dive crew. Bed in the cabin was comfortable.

Guesthouse Guesthouse The 4 Fish is located in Tongkaina. Just 18 km from Manado and a 10-minute walk from a dive centre. The view from the terrace, the hospitality from Lea and her lovely attentive team, the chilled atmosphere, the nice pool.

Located in Bunaken, 3WILL Bunaken Dive Resort is only a short distance from beautiful snorkelling and diving spots. It boasts a diving centre, massage services and a tour desk. The dive trips were outstanding and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We saw so many turtles.

Located right on Bara Beach in Bira, Cosmos Bungalows offers a beautifully simple beachfront accommodation where each bungalow has sea view. Free on-site parking space for guests who drive. The bungalows are simple and very nicely decorated. The views are to die for. I loved the stairs straight down to the beach, the hammock on the veranda, simplicity, small scale and the overall value for money. Cakalang Resort terletak di Pulau Bunaken di sepanjang Pantai Pangalisan. Ia menawarkan peluang menyelam dan snorkeling di tempat. Ia mempunyai restoran serta kaunter penerimaan tetamu 24 jam. The food was very good. Ferdinand was great, the ferry wasn't running so he was able to find alternative transportation back and forth so we didn't miss out on our time at Bunaken. The reef is right in front of the facility.

Set on a mountain with views of natural scenery, Gardenia Country Inn is a 10-minute drive from Tomohon Traditional Market. We stayed at Gardenia Country Inn for 3 nights/ 2 full days and enjoyed our stay very much! The view of volcano Lokon, the beautifully maintained gardens and the food were really great! The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and very helpful - especially the manager Leslie went above and beyond to ensure we had a nice stay. We would definitely recommend coming here when visiting Tomohon!
