We stayed for a total of 9 nights in Romlan; in two different rooms. Where to start with the things we liked? First of all, the staff of Romlan is very friendly and helpful. They even helped us with calling and getting to the local pharmacy to get some medicines for sickness (one of us got ill and they called the pharmacy that was closed due to the Sunday Service and they opened up the pharmacy for us). The food and drinks of their own restaurant were amazing and very tasty & variable; good price value as well! The location of Romlan is also good: the boat drops you off at their pier and all the things in Tuk Tuk are on walking distance. The views from the rooms and restaurant are amazing. If you want to hire a scooter bike you can without signing for anything and you don't have to fuel up the tank (when you get the bike, the tank is full). A free refill water station is available and also some tips & tricks about the surroundings of Romlan and the transport options from Lake Toba to other places like Berastagi or Medan. Definitely recommended to book your stay at Romlan when you are looking for a place to stay in Tuk Tuk.

This Homestay is about 5 minutes walk from the ferry port. I had a pretty heavy suitcase with me and there was no way I could carry it on the uneven road and steep uphill. The owner, Marin, came with her scooter and picked up the suitcase right away. Upon the check-out was the same. Marin and Johanna were always available and very friendly. The view from our room was facing the lake and the beautifully maintained garden.

We had the room in front of the lake and it was just perfect :) The garden is so beautiful, the water in front is so peaceful and the family is so nice!

Hub Tata Guesthouse er nýlega enduruppgert gistihús í Tuk Tuk og er með garð. Gististaðurinn er með útsýni yfir vatnið. Gestir geta setið úti og notið veðursins. Location is very nice at the end of the Samosir Island.

Beautiful bungalow & view, very comfortable and relaxing for a few nights. We didn't eat at the restaurant - we discovered Coffee2go and Rosalie's as per a previous review, and didn't want to eat anywhere else! Rented a good scooter here for 100k.

Gististaðurinn er með aðgang að verönd og ókeypis einkabílastæði. this place is really underrated, to the point that i need the urge to tell everyone that this place is actually an amazing place. if you like nature, then you can take a rest here. the view is amazing, far from the crowd, and you will get semi private vibes here even when this place next to the main road. you will hear the river sound under your room, and wind blow from the trees in front of your room. when it's in the morning, came to the spa lobby to have a breakfast. bird chirping and the sunrise will welcome you there. the staff is really amazing, very friendly and wouldnt hesitate to help you. the room is really clean, and they have a hot water too!
