Well everything actually! We liked it soo much we visited twice in a few days. The location is just amazing. A little bit away from the main road (not a very good road though) and therefore very quiet. The place is surrounded by beautiful forests full of birds. The lodges are simple but exactly enough. Be aware there’s no electricity and wifi, so make sure to charge your devices. The food is simply astonishing. Locally grown, made on woodfire and served with love. We ordered the vegan option, which was very reasonably priced. The staff working there is very kind and hospitable. If you look for accommodation close to Labuan Bajo or on your way to the east, definitely stay here!

Very social vibes. I got talked into taking the Mount Batur sunrise hike which was amazing. Beautiful place. Made me a special vegan pancake for breakfast. Rooms are comfy. Bathroom is so cool and nice. Room was cool enough with AC. Beds comfy and private with curtains. Staff super friendly. They even let me take a personal yoga mat to class so I didn’t have to pay.

If you are looking for a quiet chill serene place then this is it. I stayed there in February of 2024 and had an amazing experience. It was a good way to enjoy LBJ island while being at the outskirts of the busy center. The host were super nice! Mama & Father Relin and Justin were superb and too kind. When I instantly got there I felt at home- which is a great for me being a solo traveler. I wish I could have stayed longer and will certainly be going back. I totally recommend this place!

You don t even need to go to the national park to see the dragons because they are directly behind the village! Also jackie can organise all the trips to the manta point, padar, pink beach etc..recommended if you don't care to have basic facilities and a more true indoneisan experience!
