Sumatra Thomas Leaf Monkey Guesthouse & Jungle Trek is set in Bukit Lawang. This homestay offers free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Brian and Sarah were so nice and hospitable! They picked me up at the bus station, gave me a welcome drink, and answered all my question. Brian helped set up the jungle trek with Rosyid, who was a incredible guide. He was very knowledgeable, fun and made sure we had a great time. Definitely recommend booking the trek through the guesthouse. I’m going to have to come back and do a longer trek with them.

Situated in Padang and only 1.2 km from Air Manis Beach, The view padang, Amazing view, food, drink, sleep, transport, 8 mins Mentawai fast ferry features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and... Very very good! I’ll be back for SURE!!!

With mountain views, Sumatra Orangutan Discovery Villa is situated in Bukit Lawang and has a restaurant, full-day security, bar, garden, sun terrace and picnic area. Best place ever to chill and feel part of the jungle. I did not want to leave. The food is incredible and all the team are so friendly. Recommend to book your jungle trek also, we did 2 days which was perfect. Amazing experience and amazing spot. Thank you :)

The room has a sea view, it is very quiet, comfortable, clean and you have a fridge, desk and drinking water in the room. Wifi works well and I could work and take online meetings with no problem. The food prepared at the restaurant is some of the best I have eaten in Indonesia. Because of Ramadan food options needed to be arranged in advance but the host cooked for us during lunch also because on the island there would have been very limited options otherwise. The best thing is the reef right in front of the property that is basically your backyard. Beautiful snorkeling you can stay in the water for hours. They arranged for us a pick up and drop off at the ferry port and also a scooter rental at a reasonable price.

New and very clean apartaments. Great banana pancaces for breakfast:) Very warm and helpful owners- helped organize a guide and transport around The lake as well as futher trip.

Lovely place, perfect for travellers stopping by on the way to e.g. Bukit Lawang or Lake Toba (you can arrange transport here which makes it all very easy). Lovely owners and staff. I stayed here twice on my trip and met interesting and friendly fellow travellers both times - it's that kind of place. Rooms are simple but pleasant, clean and comfortable, with air conditioning. The honesty fridge with drinks, snacks and, most importantly, natural insect repellent, is a great idea. The location is not far from the city centre (with a vehicle) but has more of a rural village feel, which is very pleasant. It offers outstanding value for money and I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Medan.

The hostel is located around 15 min walk from the center away, near to a nice viewpoint where you can see the sunset. Smiley ans his wife are such nice people! I would definitely go againg!

I got sick before the trek and got a lot of support from the staff and the trek was easy to reschedule. The tour was the best jungle experience I've had this far, will be back for sure.
