The property is exceptionally clean and diligently maintained by Peter. He is very kind and accommodating and upgraded my room. He even use waterproof pillow and bed sheet. The environment is natural and it is like living in a rain forest. It is close to Central station where you can go shopping at Coles and Kmart. The kitchen is also clean and has essentials for cooking. The shared bathroom is easy close to the bedroom and not busy.

What can I say, this place has the loveliest and most helpful staff ever :). Stayed here twice, and was pleasantly surprised when I was greeted by my name when I walked in to check in again. I had some problems with the initial dorm I was staying in, and when asked if it was possible to move to another dorm, this was done without any problems (and the staff kept checking in throughout to make sure everything was OK). Other than that: great location near the bus station, lovely courtyard, nice kitchen area and comfortable rooms

Great single room, very convenient right on the Esplanade, there is the happy tours tour booking right outside and literally dozens of restaurants right outside. Breakfast was very convenient and a comforting touch, pancakes were great and staff were very friendly and helpful even when I had silly questions.

Przyjemny hotel. Niestety trafiliśmy na high season i nie mogliśmy spać z małżonkiem w jednym pokoju, ale w sumie mogliśmy trochę od siebie odpocząć. Kuchnia dobrze wyposażona, łazienki czyste, przyjemna strefa wspólna. Dostępny jest też balkon, a właściwie to taras, gdzie można miło spędzić czas. Pod spodem jest bar, gdzie można się napić dobrego piwa i który wcale nie był tak głośny jak piszą w opiniach. W pobliżu jest targ i dobre restauracje. Miła obsługa.

i loved staying at mad monkey village. the staff was super friendly and helpful. great common areas to meet people and go out. the kitchen is big enough and equipped to make a meal even if its busy. I would totally recommend staying here when you are visiting cairns.
