When we arrived it was already dark but it was already beautiful. The Host was waiting for us till late and welcomed us with smile. On the way to room we were looking at many surf boards and this gave us impression of cool vibe. In the morning it was even better! We were eating great breakfast in a restaurant next to surf house. Restaurant had cool terrace with the view on the sea and you could watch walking donkeys. The neighborhood was very quiet so this location is the best if you want to chill. On the roof top there is an extra place to sit and read a book. I think this place is amazing and has nice vibe, The host is very nice and helpful and the interior is the best! Highly recommend I can't wait to go back there:)

Nice staff, hostel bright & clean, loved the bunks which are very stable, privacy curtains and firm mattress. Very cosy roof terrace good for stretching/yoga. Showers a bit cramped but ok. Location optimal for the medina. Price very competitive.

La Smala has a fantastic kasbah-sea view with the ancient canons facing the Atlantic ocean. The sunset is simply breathtaking and you can enjoy it at the roof terrace. The staff (With special mention of Guka) was exceptionally helpful and even arranged my quad bike experience along the beach and also my transport back to marrakesh. Breakfast was very well made and I enjoyed part of it. I will highly recommend travellers this Hostel when in Essaouira. The location is close to many of the best restaurants in the medina and only 5 mins to the Kasbah and the long stretch of beach.

Very pretty and arty hostel, very well located, central but quiet. Room was a good size (we got a private room - sofa downstairs and bed upstairs). Very clean. Breakfast was nice, I liked the homemade jams, olives and the chats with other guests! It's a little haven :)

Hospitality of the owner, friendly and familiar vibe, its a small hostel which makes it perfect to get know ppl easily and quickly! Also shoutout to the awesome 2 floor rooftop terrace to chill :) catching the last rays of the day is a breeze up top!

I think this is the best hostel in the entire Morocco! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom are clean, good energy and feels like a happy place. The hostel is in the middle of medina which is not noisy and everything is around within the reach.
