RiadSuerteloca Merzouga has an outdoor swimming pool, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Merzouga. With free WiFi, this 5-star hostel offers room service and a business centre. There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service.

Hotel Suerte Loca is fabulous. The facilities are lovely, and the staff, especially Yusuf and Said, are incredibly helpful and gracious. On our trip, we had a flat tire. Yusuf took my husband into town to get the tire repaired so we would have a spare for the remainder of our trip. Yusuf also arranged an overnight trip for us into the Sahara on camels where we stayed at the hotel’s luxury camp. We had a magical evening with music, dancing, and star gazing.

I loved my stay here at Trans Sahara in Merzouga village, it was very peaceful to relax on the patio with the view of the desert dunes. The staff were lovely and brought me my tajine up to my patio when I ate there in the evening. Wfi worked great and bonus is free parking behind the hotel. Thank you to all the staff who made my stay so amazing. Will definitely return and would totally recommend this accommodation. Loved it.

Situated in the open Sahara desert, Auberge De Charme Les Dunes D´Or is a large traditional Kasbah. Inside its majestic walls lie beautiful courtyards and an outdoor swimming pool.

The air-conditioned rooms are individually decorated in an authentic style. They come with a private bathroom and overlook the dunes. Some of them feature a balcony.

This establishment was great. We enjoyed the size of the room. The AC worked (wasn't a match for the Merzouga heat but certainly took the edge off and allowed for a pleasant night of rest). The staff were kind, fluent in English, and very welcoming. They arranged a camel ride for me and my friend to see the sunset from the dunes that opened to our back porch. I look forward to coming back to this hotel.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

I was very lucky Mohamed gave me an apartment. I was in this hostel before and I extended 2x this time around. The breakfast is great and you get a lot not only the usual. The view from the rooftop is amazing I never get sick of that. I also loved the view from the gate, I wanted to leave but asked myself how can I go when will I see this again so I extended and extended. As I have been in this hostel before I started to use different ways of getting to the center, the people in this town are so lovely.

What an amazing hostel! We had a whole apartment (with a kitchen, bathroom, and living room) to ourselves. It is located just in front of the dunes, and you have the nicest view from the rooftop. There are many cheap restaurants around the corner, but we also had a great breakfast in the hostel. The owner was super friendly and helpful, and we could store our luggage in the hostel while we were staying in the desert.

Desert Backpackers Hostel is not like the hostels you stayed in before for starters Hamid build the hostel himself, the walls are 30cm deep, I loved the feeling of living in that hostel, I could see the camels and the sand dunes from the window, it was very hard to leave. Hamid is from the area so is good for information about places to go and can be helpful in organizing things as he has many connections. I loved the breakfast every morning, am a coffee drinker but was converted to a tea drinker as the tea was great!

Great staff, great location. The value is amazing, you will probably not find a greater and cleaner place for this price point. the room was big and clean and the AC was a lifesaver. We had stayed in another hostel the day before without one and for those not accustomed to a room being 40+ degrees.. well it isn’t pleasant. the pool was clean and once we checked out we were still invited to stay as long as we wanted. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We can definitely recommend staying at Hostel les Roches. The staff was nice and prepared us tea when we arrived. The room including the bathroom were very clean and tidy. We enjoyed the pool very much. The hostel also offers safe camel tours/round trips in the desert, so you can easily arrive and book your tour directly at the hostel (but we had already booked a private tour before we arrived).
