The communal areas! Plenty of cosy seating space, indoors and outdoors. Big, clean, kitchen with lots of fridge space and good organization. The location is great too. There's supermarket right next door. Walking distance to the restaurants and shops, walking distance to the hikes and viewpoints. The individual lockers in the room are big! Each bed has an individual light and powerpoint.

Free breakfast and parking is offered. i loved the energy of this place, laid back and a bit hippie. great board games like Catan and a cozy fireplace living area. the hostel is very clean and well maintained. Ross the owner is a lovely man who will go out of his way to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. he’s above and beyond. the location was perfect, right by town and a grocers right next door. the train is only a few minutes walk away and there’s plenty of parking around. i felt right at home. ps. comfy beds! pps. outdoor fight pit &a lovely deck for yoga and sunsets!

Katoomba Mountain Lodge is situated in the heart of the Blue Mountains National Park. The heritage lodge is just 3 minutes’ walk from Katoomba Train Station. Free WiFi and free parking are included. Pretty good for a private room at a backpackers. We were up high with cute window seat and view. My partner thought it smelled weird with strange vibes, but I was pretty happy, room was cute, toilet and showers were separate but private and lockable.it definitely a quirky place but was still quite and reasonably clean.
