Excellent staff and beautiful rooms. The outdoor common area is very well thought out. The included breakfast adds value and is convenient since there isnt a close place to get breakfast. There is a good restaurant for dinner 1 block away and a small store at the corner.

There are alot of places to stay around the world, and most of them are in it for the money - but not this one. I had no real desire to go to Las Tunas, but after backpacking around Ecuador and Peru for a while, all of the favorite people I met on the road seemed to have the exact same recommendation: Go to Onda Hostel. So I texted the hostel owners on Whatsapp, where they proceeded to be somehow genuinely interested in answering my millions of questions over text before I arrived, arranging for transport, and even picking me up a massive guanabana just because I casually mentioned once I'd like to try it. The beds are comfortable, the A/C is cool, and the coffee is endless, but it's truly the people that make this place great. The owners are passionate about building a community and they instill that same stoke in their volunteers. If you're looking to stay in a place with some atmosphere, there is none greater in the Americas. I booked at this hostel for two days and stayed on for weeks, only leaving because I had to. To my new friends that I've made at Las Tunas - Thank you, and I'll be back soon!

Situated in Puerto López, a few steps from Puerto Lopez Beach, Hostería Mandála features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. An absolutely stunning option at the far end of Puerto Lopez, private and intimate, set in an enormous botanical garden, the choices spaces the most spacious, private, with the best views, in the case of my very ample room, views of the beach and a carpet of brilliant red flowers below the terrace. The room simple but very spacious, high ceilings, huge bathroom, large terrace with couch and hammocks ... it doesn't get better than this. Then the backdrop is the garden and the main house which itself is hugely alluring, with loads of space in the common areas. All structures in the complex are made of polished wood, with huge windows to let in all the light you can imagine. All doors and windows are screened to keep out bugs. It doesn't get better than this place - if you want to stay anywhere deluxe in or around Puerto Lopez, it must be the Hosteria Mandala.

Located on the beach, within a 25-minute drive of Montañita and a 15-minute drive of Puerto Lopez, Viejamar B&B offers direct access to the beach. We had such a good time here! We learned to surf, cuddled with the dogs and had good conversations. Def recommend to stay here

Featuring a bar and a terrace with sea views, Eco-Hostal Rutamar offers rooms with free WiFi and private balconies in Canoa. Free parking is provided, and common outside eating area is featured. Amazing place!! Rooms and hostel were very clean! We should have stayed more nights! Attention and care was taken when 2 kiddos age 12 took surf lessons. I would highly recommend staying here!!

Situated in San Lorenzo, 35 km from Manta Harbour, Mambo Ecohostal features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Hosts are super nice. They help you with everything. You feel directly at home. 😊 Best fresh fruit juces and Piña colada! Very nice beach with the possibility to see baby turtels finding their way to the see. Best surfspot around: San Mateo. 🏄🏽‍♂️🏄‍♀️
