The included breakfast adds value and is convenient since there isnt a close place to get breakfast. There is a good restaurant for dinner 1 block away and a small store at the corner.

There are alot of places to stay around the world, and most of them are in it for the money - but not this one. I had no real desire to go to Las Tunas, but after backpacking around Ecuador and Peru for a while, all of the favorite people I met on the road seemed to have the exact same recommendation: Go to Onda Hostel. So I texted the hostel owners on Whatsapp, where they proceeded to be somehow genuinely interested in answering my millions of questions over text before I arrived, arranging for transport, and even picking me up a massive guanabana just because I casually mentioned once I'd like to try it. The beds are comfortable, the A/C is cool, and the coffee is endless, but it's truly the people that make this place great. The owners are passionate about building a community and they instill that same stoke in their volunteers. If you're looking to stay in a place with some atmosphere, there is none greater in the Americas. I booked at this hostel for two days and stayed on for weeks, only leaving because I had to. To my new friends that I've made at Las Tunas - Thank you, and I'll be back soon!

As for the property, the WiFi is good, breakfast is delicious, the swimming pool is amazing

A beautiful place with friendly staff who were always happy to help us with beach towels, organizing tours and giving us access to showers after we had checked out. The breakfast was lovely too. You can really tell that a lot of love and effort has been put into making the hostería comfortable and welcoming. We didn't want to leave!

Featuring a bar and a terrace with sea views, Eco-Hostal Rutamar offers rooms with free WiFi and private balconies in Canoa. Free parking is provided, and common outside eating area is featured. Very cute and cozy atmosphere. Close to beach and amenities.

Located on the beach, within a 25-minute drive of Montañita and a 15-minute drive of Puerto Lopez, Viejamar B&B offers direct access to the beach. It's a little paradise. Magical place. Lovely people.

The atmosphere of the hostel is really nice. It’s laidback, beautiful with all the natural materials and the lookout on the sea and the owners are super nice and helpful. We booked a room with two beds and shared bathroom, because we couldn’t find another option on Booking, but when we arrived they offered the room with double bed and included bathroom for the same price. Super friendly and attentive! It’s clean and we liked the design of the room(s) and the whole hostel. They also offer a place where you can sleep in a tent with sea view on the top floor. Text them and they will inform you! Super cool (and even less expensive). They also have a menu to order some drinks and meals, which were really tasty (and homemade, even the bread!). Definitely don’t skip San Lorenzo to relax, see frigate birds, blue-footed booby’s and maybe (just born) turtles. Or visit the rainforest with monkeys. Walk to the lighthouse and swim in the sea. Definitely recommend!
