I would recommend this hostel to everyone!

Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, Heritage Inn offers accommodation in Quito, in the main commercial area, 10 minutes away from the Old Town and 3 minutes from Foch Square. This is the 3rd time I've stayed here while having eye surgery conveniently nearby. I am rebooking for a friend today. The facilities are well maintained, spotlessly clean, comfortable and the staff most helpful and understanding of our needs. Breakfast is healthful and excellent. Two small items installed in the rooms would add to the comfort of guests, a hot pot and a table lamp. Great value for the price.

Welcome to Minka Smart Hostel, the first intelligent and automated hostel in all of Ecuador with a family atmosphere that you will feel at home. I wish I had known about Minka Hostel earlier, when I first came to Quito. The second time in Quito I stayed here because of the location, which is a lot nicer and safer than the Old Town. The owner clearly knows what a backpacker needs and wants, and it shows. Minka has very comfortable beds, they have a curtain, electric sockets and light, and the lockers are big enough to hold a large bag. The room was also warmer than some of the other hostels in quito. The common area is comfortable, the kitchen is spacious and the breakfast was enough. Bonus points for the Minka homepage which has plenty of information about Quito and a food delivery app for the hostel. One of the best places I stayed in South America in 6 months. Go there.

Only 500 metres from Foch Square, Posada del Maple has practical rooms with private bathrooms. It features a common living room with a fireplace and a small patio with plants. I highly recommend this place! They are very accommodating and make sure that everything is going good for your stay. The rooms are really great for the price. I would recommend the double room as it’s a lot bigger than the single room. :) The hostal is located on a quiet street and I felt pretty safe walking by myself. I recommend walking to La Floresta where you’ll find lots of restaurants. I had no problems walking from the hostal. The walk is about 15 min. Also this place is pretty modern and very clean. They have a fully equipped kitchen and overall it’s very good for the price.
