I think this is my favorite hostel after two months of travel in Colombia and Ecuador! The facilities are great: there are three different terraces plus a TV/lounge room and a kitchen/dining room. When I was there it was more of a quiet vibe (not really a party hostel) but it was still easy to meet people and share a meal together. There are plenty of toilets and showers, so you don’t have to wait. Both the kitchen and toilets/showers were kept super clean (I usually hate using kitchens in hostels ;)) The dorms are great too: there are spacious and don’t feel crowded at all. There are large lockers that fit big backpacks + extra storage for clothes, shelves and hooks. Each bed has a curtain, two plugs, a light, a shelf… all small things but that really makes a difference to the dorm experience as you get a lot of privacy & comfort. The breakfast is simple but all you need (toast, butter, marmelade, fruits, cereals and coffee). Everyone was very helpful. They can also arrange day tours or longer tours (eg to the Amazon) although I personally didn’t use this service. I extended my stay by one night and wish I could have stayed even longer!

I loved the beautiful garden to which I had direct access from my room. There were two fountains that made it a very meditative place to be. I felt like I was on an island of beauty in the midst of the darkness of the shades of Quito. I enjoyed the breakfast, both the portion size and the quality. The room and the bathroom were spacious. For me, I can't imagine a better place for the money.

The staff was very friendly, the food was DELICIOUS, the yoga room had incredible views and good vibes, and the sauna room was invigorating. I would recommend this hostel to everyone!

Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, Heritage Inn offers accommodation in Quito, in the main commercial area, 10 minutes away from the Old Town and 3 minutes from Foch Square. This is the 3rd time I've stayed here while having eye surgery conveniently nearby. I am rebooking for a friend today. The facilities are well maintained, spotlessly clean, comfortable and the staff most helpful and understanding of our needs. Breakfast is healthful and excellent. Two small items installed in the rooms would add to the comfort of guests, a hot pot and a table lamp. Great value for the price.

Welcome to Minka Smart Hostel, the first intelligent and automated hostel in all of Ecuador with a family atmosphere that you will feel at home. I wish I had known about Minka Hostel earlier, when I first came to Quito. The second time in Quito I stayed here because of the location, which is a lot nicer and safer than the Old Town. The owner clearly knows what a backpacker needs and wants, and it shows. Minka has very comfortable beds, they have a curtain, electric sockets and light, and the lockers are big enough to hold a large bag. The room was also warmer than some of the other hostels in quito. The common area is comfortable, the kitchen is spacious and the breakfast was enough. Bonus points for the Minka homepage which has plenty of information about Quito and a food delivery app for the hostel. One of the best places I stayed in South America in 6 months. Go there.

They are very accommodating and make sure that everything is going good for your stay. The rooms are really great for the price. I would recommend the double room as it’s a lot bigger than the single room. :) The hostal is located on a quiet street and I felt pretty safe walking by myself. I recommend walking to La Floresta where you’ll find lots of restaurants. I had no problems walking from the hostal. The walk is about 15 min. Also this place is pretty modern and very clean. They have a fully equipped kitchen and overall it’s very good for the price.
