Wayfarers Independent Hostel has private twin rooms with en suite facilities, as well as dormitories with bunk beds. All have lockers, bedside lights and bedding provided, with towels available for hire. By far the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. so beautiful aswell, the staff is amazing and the location is quiet but everything’s easy to reach from here. The stay could not have been better!

The Beatrix Potter Gallery is located in nearby Hawkshead, and Lake Windermere is only a 10-minute drive from YHA Hawkshead. The lush greenery of Grizedale Forest is just outside the hostel, home to excellent mountain biking trails and a Go Ape! treetop adventure course. the location is perfect and serene. almost everything was perfect about this place we really enjoyed our stay there

Ambleside village is a 10-minute walk from the YHA hostel. It has a selection of quaint tea rooms, artisan shops and country pubs. Staff is very polite and friendly. Asked them to take early breakfast since we needed to be on our way early morning, and they prepare for us breakfast for take away with message that made my day! Place is very nice and location is nice. I hope i will come back next time! I would like to thank them!

Located in the market town of Keswick in the heart of the Lake District National Park, Denton House Hostel is just a 5-minute stroll from Keswick Leisure Centre. With free WiFi and free parking, Keswick Museum and Art Gallery and Cumberland Pencil Museum are also less than a mile away. nice place to stay!! spacious rooms with comfy beds and staff was all very kind!!

Located in Thirlmere, Fisher-gill Camping Barn offers free onsite parking and a terrace. Set within the Lake District National Park, the hostel is at the foot of the Helvellyn Mountains and just 5 miles from Keswick. Perfectly prepared stove, hot shower and full equiped kitchen

Situated in the Cumbrian countryside, conveniently located to visit the Lake District, YHA Helvellyn has on-site free parking and a bar. The nearest village, Glenridding, is a 6-minute drive from the hostel. Wonderful staff, very welcoming.

Nestled in the Cumbrian countryside in the Lake District National Park, The White Horse Inn and Bunkhouse offers dormitory rooms, free parking, free Wi-Fi in public areas and a pub restaurant.

Each dormitory room at The White Horse comes with a shared shower room and toilets. Bed linen (duvet, duvet cover, pillow case and bed sheet) are available at a surcharge and by prior arrangement and guests are advised to bring their own towels, as these are not provided. Easy to get to! Location is one of the best.

YHA Holly How offers dormitory-style accommodation in Coniston, a 10-minute drive from Hawkshead, Ambleside. It has a games room, a restaurant serving evening meals, and offers free parking on site.

Guests can go walking, cycling, and canoeing in the surrounding area, and there are mountains nearby. There are scenic trails for mountain biking, as well as opportunities for sailing. Location is excellent and parking included is a big bonus. Great walking routes. Breakfast was fine, in continental option the croissants were a bit small. But coffee was good.
